Alan Ball’s “Towelhead” DVD Release Date

Warner Home Video announced today the release date for Alan Ball’s coming-of-age story, Towelhead. Starring Aaron Eckhart, Toni Collette, Mario Bello and introducing Summer Bishil, Towelhead tells how Jasira Maroun deals with being 13 and all the problems and changes, both physical and emotional, that come with growing up. It is at times funny and sad and horrifying. Alan is a master at making us think about things that are real, even though they may not always be pleasant. It’s a fantastic movie, well written and well acted. Summer Bishil is a lovely, young actress, and one to watch out for in the future.

The release will feature an anamorphic widescreen transfer of the movie, complete with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. As an extra you will find Towelhead: A Community Discussion on the release also. Towelhead comes to DVD on December 30 and will carry a $27.95 price tag.
