Alan Ball Reveals A Few More Season 2 Spoilers

Reacting to the show’s Golden Globe nominations today, Alan Ball also dropped a few spoilers about what’s coming up in season 2, in pre-production now.

“Jason goes into the Fellowship of the Sun church in a big way and is surprised by what he finds there. There’s a new creature in town that is unlike any other. Nobody knows what this creature is, I’m not sure if it will be entirely explained in the show — it’s not a werewolf. There are new romances for Tara, Jason and Sara. Bill and Sookie have a lot of issues to sort out — including having made a new teenage vampire that’s living in their house. Bill and Sookie also go to Dallas to find one of their own who has gone missing.”

  2. Eisler says:

Wow thanks for the info, the next season will be amazing!!

  3. jane says:

I want more, more, more, more Bill and more Eric. I’m hoping very little air-time is spent on Tara and Jason so there will be plenty of time for the reason I watch the show – Bill !!!!

  4. mary says:

I can hardly wait and am counting down the days until true blood starts again!!! I hope that Bill will be on alot more this season because he is the absolute star of the show. He makes me wish my husband was a vampire!

  5. Jennifer Sellers says:

I want to see more of Lafayette and all the weird circumstances he gets himself into…I think Tara is very interesting as well. I like all the characters really and can not wait to see what season 2 brings!

    • Heather says:

      Lafayette’s DEAD! Read the books…

      • Raven Lestat says:

Layfayette may be dead but the series doesn’t to have to follow the books to the letter. There is something called poetic license which gives the producers leeway to make things more interesting. Steven Kings movies don’t always follow the books either. So Heather I guess we will just have to wait anxiously till season 2.

  6. Alice Cullen says:

If you want to know the basic idea for season 2 of True blood you need to read the second book in the Sookie Stackhouse novels called “Living Dean in Dallas”. It is so good

  7. Brenda says:

My whole family watches True Blood and almost all the girls read all the books. We all hope to see more of Eric and hope that the relationship between him and sookie plays out like in the book. I agree with Jane who said less air time for Jason. Lafayette should stay awhile since they changed things from the book anyway. All in all though we love the show it’s great and so are the books, can’t wait for #9 to come out.

  8. Soo-keh! says:

You and me both. My husband thinks he’s a vampire. It’s fun to play pretend. Yum! Yum!

  9. Celeste says:

I have read the Sookie Stackhouse series and am a huge fan of the books. I am hoping that the HBO Series stays true ( for the most part ) to Sookie and Bills relationship with eachother and others *wink*. Can’t wait to see where the storyline with Eric will go. If it is completely different than the book series I will be greatly dissapointed….Waiting anxiously for Seaason 2!!!!

How do you know if you’ve not seen it? It might be even better than the books. We’re talking about ALAN BALL here. Have you seen any of his Six Feet Under stuff? It’s totally adoreable. I think TRUE BLOOD is safe in his hands!

  10. Nia says:

I have just started to read the books. So far I love the show better for obvious reasons. Stephen Moyer was an excellant choice for Bill. I would like to see more of Bill’s background and of course just more of him. Keeping their love story fresh will be a challenge. I do not know how that will conform to the books, but it will be fun finding out. Can’t wait. Keep up the great work HBO we will be watching.

  11. Roz says:

I loved season 1, and have read most of the Sookie Stackhouse books. I will be interesting to see how the writers deal with the changeing story lines Can anyone tell me WHEN Season 2 will start.

  12. Nia says:

I thought season 2 will not start till August. Now I hear June 2nd. As far as I’m concerned the earlier the better. AHHHHHH Bill.

  13. Leslie says:

Yeah I think season 1 they spent too much time on Tara and Jason.

  14. Jade says:

Actually, It is suppose to come out in May. Of coarse they could have pushed it back, But I believe the release date is still for May.

  15. Roz says:

Thanks for the info, I’ll be on the lookout.

  16. Nia says:

I started reading the books and they are not bad, I prefer the show. It offers so much more in terms of the depth of all the characters. Tara was a fun addition. It would be nice if Lafayette is not dead, I enjoyed him and he was played so well. But of course it all comes down to Bill and Sookie. Can not get enough of those two. Excellant chemistry and acting. Good writing is a necesity to keep this next season as good as the first.

  17. Lillie says:

I really enjoyed season 1. And in season 2-(the book)when Eric happens to take a bullet to protect Sookie- I must wonder if she would have been mortally wounded- would Bill or Eric turn her? Also it was pretty clear that Bill and Eric don’t like each other. Eric wants Sookie, I believe to use her just like the Queen of New Orleans did- but our man Bill won’t let her go. Because she’s HIS!!! In my opinion Bill is alot more human than he realizes. This will be interesting to see how close to the book Alan has this season and how his creativity will change it.

  18. Jason King says:

I love this show, can’t wait for the second season!!

  19. Mike says:

    If Lafayette goes, i go.

  20. Janet says:

I am totally hooked on the show, I have now read the first 4 books, trying not to get caught up in the differences & enjoy them both in the way they are each presented. However, I am not a Sookie/Bill fan, although I like Bill just not with Sookie. I am team Eric all the way…..Cannot wait to see the development between Eric/Sookie.
