I have read all the books in the Sookie Stackhouse series and I have some complaints on the True Blood HBO series. The first season brought in many people that do not come in until later books. Also they went way out there when it came to Jason most of the things they had him doing was way off from the book. Also characters they brought into the first book should not have come into the series yet. Like Tara in the book she was good friends with Sookie but wasn’t mention until the second or third book she (Tara) never had a thing with Sam, she never worked at Merlotts she owned a clothing store. She also had affairs with Vamps later in the books. Also girl engaged to the killer was never engaged to him in the book. I understand you might need to fill in some spots but it is like the entire first book was different.
Thank you for letting me express my thoughts Karon Chandler

You are right. The whole show is off. I understand that TV Series are lossley based , but come on …. We want to see our charaters come to life

I enjoy the fact that the show is a bit different from the books. I have read almost all of the books (I should be finished with all of them by next week) and I don’t know how they will make a whole season based only on book 2, Living Dead in Dallas. The creators of the show needed to take some artistic license in order to make the show flow on. Books and movies are two totally different media, and they have to be change in order to make sense. Just like you couldn’t write a book based exactly on a book, you can’t make a show/movie based exactly on the book. Things have to be changed, taken out, and/or added in order to make everything mesh together.

I thought actress Molly Burnett was going to be in the second episode of Season 2!
