Would Alexander Skarsgard have been a good choice to play the action hero, Thor? He thinks so! He talks a bit about it with MTV. A very little bit. ;)

Alexander Skarsgard

Recently, he came this close to landing one of the most highly-sought-after star-making roles in Hollywood. But don’t feel too bad for stocky Swede Alexander Skarsgard, because he returns next week for the second season of the hit series “True Blood” — which takes a bit of the sting out of the fact that he won’t be Thor.

I was quite surprised when he did not make it (actually, shocked!). I first had an impression that it was his choice, and he was not looking for this type of film. He would had been wonderful (as always), but I think the producers have missed out. Oh well, we’ll see him soon thought!

Stocky? Their sense of proportion is way off. He is 6’4″ after all.

he will always be my Thor.

I think it was a HUGE mistake not to cast Alex. He is perfect to play the role. He has a huge fan base among women, who would not otherwise go to see that movie. Why not capitalize on his fame with the female set. So on many levels it was a mistake. I feel for Alex because he really wanted that role.
