Wow, looks ver exciting. And Bill looks handsome all dolled up in his tux.
are his sideburns gone?
Its a flashback to his earlier days.
Yea but he died in the Civil War remember…..so he would be a vampire in this pic…it might be the angle and we can’t see the sideburns..not sure.
Since Eric changed his hair from when he was made vampire I am not sure if Bill has to have sideburns. But it kinds looks like they are there.
the sideburns are there if you really close on the pic that says Lorena watches Bill… you can see them
If you look very closely, you can see them.
Looks like a light fixture in the Silent Shore,to me.
Oh god!!! Even though I’m more of an Eric fan, Bill looks pretty good in that first picture. I’m so excited for this season.
Poor Sookie.
I am normally a Alexander fan–to quote Charlaine “He flicks my BIC!” But Bill Moyer looks real hot in the tux! Whoa!
You are not alone there Sarah. Something about that Viking lights my fire as well
Nothing like a well dressed man!!!! Especially a handsome vampire.
yeah the sideburns are still there its just the light and the angle
PS Yeah Eric “flicks my BIC” too
uh-oh looks like Jason is going to get himself into a mess, and they didnt really match the outfit sookie picked out in the book to go to the church..dissapointing
Right…where is the wig???
The wig was probably pulled off! Duh!
AaaH SiDE BURNS oooooh Eric Yess I can’t Refuse That
Ahhh Bill, nothing like a well dressed man!!!! He is so beautiful. Can’t wait for more!!
Lorena doesnt look so hot in flapper era duds/makeup, why did Bill stay with her so long?? hmmm.
My guess is since she was his maker, it would be very hard for him to leave her…… me thinks she might resurface in later episodes
Looks like Sookie is getting Bill out of another shirt….lucky girl..did anyone wonder about episode 1 of Season 2, near the end when Bill professed his love for Sooks, then the next scene she in un buttoning his shirt, and he takes her top off…wow, next thing, she is naked and so his he…wonder how that works???? as Bill says “must be magic”!!!!
Can’t wait for this Sunday’s episode! Thanks for posting those!
I just have to say, i had never heard of the books until i started watching the show, now i cant get enough. i love this show, and this season is riveting. any ideas on who or what attacked sookie?? i have a few.
I def think it’s Maryanne behind the attack, I mean she does that weird vibrating thing and mumbles greek in her head….who’s to say she can’t morph into a bullman/minotaur thing.
But did you see Daphne’s back in the episode 3 when she was on the pier talking to Sam? She had those same scratch marks that Sookie had after the creature attacked her. What is up with that? I read somewhere that there was more to Daphne than we thought. The question is….what could that be?
I think she’s a shifter, she has to be super natural or she would have died.
Plus i think her and Sam are going to have some frolicking in the woods scenecs
I personally think Daphne’s marks are from a werewolf–or shifter with similar claws. They’re too small and close together to be the same ones from Maryanne’s altered self–the ones on both Sookie and Miss Janet took up half their backs.
That’s a good point. I don’t put it past Alan Ball to make us think it’s Maryanne and then do a 180. I hope we find out next episode.
Just read all the books in 10 days and cant believe how different they are from the show. I hope the Sookie/Eric relationship is the same as in the books. OMG !!!
According one of the writers on the show, there’s no guarantee that the Eric/Sookie storyline may happen, so we have to wait and see. Alan Ball has every intention to keep the show at least 50% different from the books.
Oh no, i love the show but am very disappointed at the changes from the books, i wish it would follow them more. I will be even more disappointed if the Sookie/Eric storyline doesn’t happen Im a huge eric fan…..Team ERIC, not just because the actor is smoking HOT but the character in the book is ace. Fingers crossed it follows the books more.
yeah, but the Sook/Eric story is quite a big part of the 4th book and if they leave the storyline out… there’s not so much left to tell… well that’s not true, but it’s just the best part of the book and ARGHH!!! I so hope, they’ll go on with the show until the 4th season/book (and 5th, 6th …). They have to. I’m so curious how they do it.
But NO WAY Sook/Eric together are left out. *sulk*
Same here, I really loved the books! I hope the show stays true to the story line of the books.
Maryanne is the Maenad so she attacked Sookie. (For offering Tara a place to live) Been reading these books for long long time. Know them inside and out. Love Bill and can not help it.
I love the show but i hate were Mr. Ball is taking the Eric character. In the books no one had recieved his blood since Pam. So it was really a special thing when he gave it to Sookie. I am all for changing the show around a little bit, but there are some things that have to be left alone. If not how will we ever get to the shower scene, yummy,
I totally agree! Another change last season that should of been abig no no was the fact that in the show Bill killed the vampire to save Sookie but in the book it was Eric, Yes they wouldn’t get Jessica but im sure they could of found another way to get her. Also Eric didn’t Feed Sookie(his blood) after the Maenad attack like he did in the book so there is one of the important blood donations towards that connection and the lead up that hot shower scene already missing…it’s so not fair..i’m so hoping they still head in that direction.
TO MICHELLE – We fans argued this with the True BLood people last year but it did not do any good. If it all worked for Charlane Harris why wouldn’t it work for Mr. Ball? If he doesn’t change it up then it is not written by Alan Ball. We understand so we accept what he is doing and go on.
i love the books but they’re nothing like the tv show anymore. i hope that this next episode will be more like it.
i wonder what happens to sookie… ??
I have read all the books and am looking forward to see where Alan Ball will take the show. I adore Bill but also admire Eric. I forsee great drama ahead for Sookie, Bill, and Eric. There has to be. Eric and Sookie may not hook up exactly like in the books but they have to come close. Otherwise the show would come to a stand still. I know most of you realy want Eric/Alex to come to the forefront of the show but please do not forget it was Bill/Stephen who made the first season pop. Lets give all these wonderful characters and the actors who play them the credit they are due.
Oh! I absolutely LOVE the first one with Bill and Sookie. They both have such nice side profiles.
Special sun-proof windows, oooh. Eric sure does look tasty there (pardon the pun). Maybe it’s just the picture, but I expected Lorena to be more attractive.
If you read the books, you know what Maryanne is, but Daphne is something new. She reminds me of Sweetie Des Arts, or maybe she’s related to Maryanne in some way.
In the book, no vampires including Eric fed Sookie their blood after the attack….they all cleaned her back, but she received transfusions of human blood from Dr.Ludwig..Eric had Pam go and get the blood…and Alan Ball says in the commentary of the DVD…”Eric’s interest in Sookie is just “what she can do for him” right now, but that will change, just like the books” So be patient…
I would not want the HBO series to follow too close to the story line in the books because the difference is what makes it more interesting to me. It would be predictable. There is enough balance and variety to make it fun to watch the series and read the books. However, book four was awesome and I hope that Eric is represented that way in future episodes!
I loved how Bill looked so helpless in the scene with the first photo
