Celebs Are Hooked on True Blood, Too!
It’s a given that we’ve fallen hook, line and sinker for True Blood, but did you know that several celebrities number among the 4.5 million+ viewers tuning in each week? Check out what some well-known names have to say about the show.
James Van Der Beek (Dawson’s Creek) revealed his new addiction via twitter:
“I thought I was immune to soapy drama after making it for 6 years, but I’m finding myself kind of addicted to True Blood. Anyone else?”
Alex O’Loughlin, who we loved on Moonlight and look forward to watching on Three Rivers, revealed that he auditioned for True Blood:
“I watch True Blood when I can, but I’ve been very busy. So I’d like to get a box set and watch it that way. I actually went to network for that show. … I tried out to play Bill, the main vampire, and also Sam the dog.”
Jordan Belfi, who had a recurring role on Moonlight and plays Adam Davies on HBO’s Entourage, gets his vampire fix from True Blood:
I saw Twilight. True Blood is definitely a different animal. I think it’s a really cool take on the vampire world and the sort of Southern Gothic vibe it has. It’s got the Alan Ball touch in terms of storytelling.

I love the cast of True Blood, but Alex O’Laughlin would have been a fine addition. Very cute and sexy on “Moonlight”. But I would not have wanted him for Bill Compton. Stephen Moyer is a perfect Bill. No one better!
