With the True Blood season finale just days away, several members of the cast having been talking to the press about the show, plus Charlaine Harris talks about the end of the road.

  • Rutina Wesley tells the Boston Herald, “Tara doesn’t know if she’s coming or going – literally,” Wesley laughed. “Maryann is out of control, and it will be interesting to see if anyone can shut her down. I don’t even know for sure what’s gonna happen, but I hope someone figures it out, or Bon Temps is going down!”
  • Jim Parrack reveals to MTV’s Hollywood Crush that, “Something will happen. There will be a finale.” Thanks for the scoop, Jim!
  • Ryan Kwanten tells People magazine that while he loves the show, “I don’t think I’m particularly the demographic” for the books. What, no dish on the finale? C’mon, People, ask the tough questions!
  • Charlaine Harris teased readers by telling Access Atlanta, “I know where the end of the rainbow is for Sookie. It will please some readers and displease others, I’m sure. I just hope they’ll stick with me until I get there!”

I cant get enough of True Blood. I hope Ms Harris never stops with the Sookie Stackhouse tales. Love it to bits. Can’t wait to get the other seasons on dvd.

  2. Casey says:

End of the rainbow! I’m excited to find out!

  3. Abby says:

But the end isn’t until three more books right? Didn’t she say at Comic-Con that she had just signed a deal for three more? Does it start with Book 10 out in May 2010 or is it three more after that?

Don’t let the story stop any time soon, Its my favorite escape (books and DVDs and thanks to the powers that be HBO Demand!)

    • Samantha says:

Currently, there’s set to be 13 books in the series. 3 more books after book 10. As much as I’m loving the books, I really want her to stop at 13. I don’t think I can take much more of which man Sookie loves or doesn’t love. Just pick one and give the Sookie books a great ending before it turns sour.

  4. Lya says:

Charlaine Harris said that Sookie will never be turned into a vampire. so does that take Bill or Eric out completely as her final choice? i’ve read them all and i’m all over her and Eric, but if Sookie does…n’t turn…then what? cause it better not be her ending with Alcide or Quinn!

  5. Savane says:

I Despise Quinn & Even Alcide. As Long As She Ends Up With Bill Or Eric Im Happy With That. But Then On The Other Hand…Charlaine Has Been Building Up Eric & Sookie….For The Past 9 Books. So If She Doesnt End Up With Eric In The End Im So Going To Be Disappointed!!

    • jaxx says:

I’m with you, no Alcide or Quinn (yuck). I’m hoping for Eric, but if not Sam.

      • laeli says:

I’m with you, too. I want Sookie and Eric together at the end. And if she doesn’t end up with Eric then I’m going for Sam. But all my hopes are for Sookie and Eric.

    • dollipop says:

OMG! I love Alcide, I have such a crush on him…I haven’t finished book 3 yet, but I think Alcide is the best choice for Sookie, she enjoyed making him breakfast! They can go out to dinner & they both can eat!….I think w/ Alcide Sookie will have a more human relationship…I like him for now…

  6. tet_dd says:

Well, if Eric will take the lead in vampire politics in book 10- I don’t think Sookie will like to end up with him. My bet, it would be a dramatic end with Sok having no choice but to say goodbye to Eric, yet loving him still (for the Eric fans)… and Bill – ever the protector and friend/lover of Sookie – coming back to her life (this is for the Bill fans)… who knows, may continue their relationship to where the story all started. :)

    • Abby says:

      SOUNDS GREAT!

BILL HAS ALWAYS BEEN SOOKIES TRUE LOVE–no substitutes!

I hope your idea is the way Harris goes.

      Bill and Sookie 4ever!

    • Abby says:

I like the way you think Tet_dd! Eric just isn’t for Sookie. At Eric’s core he is a leader, a politician. Sookie is a Wife, a friend, a caretaker at heart, she should live her life with her heart devoted to Bill and he hers. He will cherish her, and he’ll love her the way a woman needs/should be loved.

No offense Eric devotees, truly. Bill is just Sookies and he her. Eric has a definity path he travels and excells at. But that life is not the path Sookie has, will and should take.

  7. truebee says:

I am beginning to think that the end of the rainbow for Sookie has to be Sam. Charlaine seems to be very committed to her fictional character’s traits. Vampires by her definition have the distinction of being gorgeous, blood thirsty, devious bad boys. I agree with the posts so far, that Sookie’s traits seem to be that of a wife, care taker, friend. Sam has always stood back and let Sookie make her own discoveries and decisions. Bill’s initial old world charm was initially appealing (raised by her Grandmother, hello). Eric’s hot bad boy persona is attractive, but bound to cause major pain at some point. A telepath is a top prize for a vampire. When all is done, and she feels used up again, who could be left to turn to? Old faithful, always by her side, there to protect her, support her, SAM. That’s my guess.

    • Abby says:

I cannot believe this…I agree. I swear last night I had reread the fourth book and began with the first and watched most of season one and a “light” went on.

Sam does seem to be Sookie’s life’s love. They are great friends and they have similar values and morals, and great friends who respect and care to the degree Sam and Sookie do will be a great life long married couple. Also, Sam’s thoughts are not easily read by Sookie. She gets waves of emotions, at least in the TV format, Season 1 episode 5, is what she tells Sam. For a telepath this would be a good match.

I LOVE Bill! And I love how he loves Sookie. I enjoy watching her find herself and Bill’s a part of that. Perhaps. as previously stated, Sam, is at the end of the rainbow, so he and Sookie will not ‘hook up’ quite so soon…that is good. I need to see more of her and Bill!

Sam and Sookie Merlott…not so bad, I guess..

      • truebee says:

        Thanks Abby,

Who ever said that the nice guy can’t win in the end (even if he isn’t the alfa dog). The more I think about it, the more I think the underdog just might be the top dog in the end! Maybe politics takes Eric only to his final resting, it does involve lots of danger, and who saids that Uncle Bill can’t still be a protector of Sam and Sookie’s litter. That is the one thing Charlaine has made clear, that vampires can’t do!

  8. marilyn says:

It has to be Sam in the end. Sookie wants a family and to have a life as a wife and mother.

    • truebee says:

One last thought. I agree that Sookie would be on great Mom, and that does seem to be important to her. Tara with one on the way, might awaken her feelings for motherhood. What happened to Hunter (Hadley’s Son). That storyline was brought up, and then seemed to drop. Sookie would certainly be very protective of her telepathic relation (she is all about protecting family, and one so young would make her even more protective). I wonder what Eric would think of another prized telepath in his area, when he finds out???? Could it be what seperates them in the end??

  9. tina says:

i sure hope bill ends up with sookie…….i was so bummed after reading twilight; with how hard jake black worked to be with bella, while edward kept pushing her away. in the sookie stackhouse books, eric is so manipulative against bill. even towards sookie, he manipulates who is around her. i hope the man that has works the hardest(bill) towards his relation and his humanity wins sookies heart. (team bill!!!!!)
