TVGuide.com has an exclusive season 3 tidbit from Alan Ball. It’s vague, but juicy.
“Somebody is going to bite the dust and it’s going to be really good to see them get what they deserve,” Ball says.The only clue the Blood boss would reveal is that “it’s a person we’ll be happy to see go.”
Maryann is already gone, so who is he talking about? Someone we already know, or a new character for season 3? Let the speculation begin!

Obviously, the soon-to-be un-undead is the Vampire Queen of Louisiana, Sophie-Anne LeClerq. I just hope they let Evan Rachel Wood get a song or two in first; she has a GREAT voice (if you haven’t seen “across the Universe, rent it!)

The only character that makes sense is Lorena. Ball said this would be based in Jackson with Russell Eddington. Lorena was a villian on TV season 2. And book #3 has Sookie staking Lorena while rescuing Bill from her torture.
Time for Lorena to bite the dust.
LORENA is gonna go. I HATE her for all the problems she’s already caused. We can all thank SOOKIE. She’s gonna stake her, and she’s gonna stake her good. Lorena is the one responsible for his “kidnapping” in the books, and it will be that way in the show. Also, in the one episode, bill told her she was dead to him and she said, i wish you hadn’t of said that, and vanished. They were a womans hands in the gloves that wrapped the silver chain around Bill’s neck.

I’m hoping it’s the same character as the book which indeed would be Lorena. Whom I also think is the culprit that kidnaps (mannaps?) Bill at the end of season 2.

I think it’s Lorena but i can’t see how that story line will work because in the books if i remember right, it was awhile ago when i read them! Lorena is the one who sent him to Sookie originally not the Queen like the in the show, that related to why she kidnaps Bill, i think. it is very confusing how things are changed but it’s impossible to watch the show and not think about the books although i keep telling myself to think about them seperately.
No, it WAS the queen who sent Bill to try to get close to Sookie, so that she could use Sookie’s telepathy for her own purposes. She knew of Sookie and her gift b/c she and Hadley were lovers, and Hadley spoke of Sookie and her “gift” so often.
I am up the the 5th book and if the queen was mention she was mentioned once. it is lorena who kidnaps bill in the 3rd book.

I hope it’s Lorena, or Debbie Pelt (since I heard they might bring Alcide into season 3) or the Queen!

*Spoiler* in book 3, Sookie gets staked at Club Dead by Steve (I believe). Then she drinks from Eric to be healed. *shiversinanticipation* But as far as someone dying from being staked, I’d say Lorena. I can’t wait to see that!!
I think it must be the newlines , lorena or maybe jessica . I think it´s more to this blood bond that we know of and that bill is more responsible for what have hapend to sookie than we know . And put here in mor danger than we know and . Or that is what i think .

I think it will definitely be Lorena- it is odd how the books and show kind of interlap but then change drastically. In the books Bill is working on a computer program for the Queen and is away when he gets kidnapped by Lorena who wants that info- obviously that has nothing to do with what we are going to see now- I do hope the show doesn’t follow the books too much. In the books I was not a fan of the Bill/Sookie romance since he is such a tool throughout most of it- but on the show they have such chemistry i can’t help but root for them
Omigod! I soooo agree with you! Bill and Sookie (in the movie) have so much chemistry and in the books I can’t stand him. I do hope that they (Bill and Sookie) are eventually together and work it out.
It most definitely is going to be Lorena, but in the books Bill is first lured away and cheats on Sookie with her before she kidnaps him. Debbie Pelt doesnt die until the fourth book. Bill is kinda lame in the books and I am seriously ready for more Northman!!!
For sure it will be lorena and than much later debbie who I would be happy to see gone! Then Sookie can molest Eric fo awhile and then off to the hot quinn in four. I still wanna see who they cast for alicide

I agree with everyone else, I’m hoping it’s Lorena like how it is in the book, and Debbie I will be glad to see die, but not until Season 4.

Jessica or Lafayette? He should already be gone according to the books, & Jessica wasn’t even in the books. Or is it the rev. Newlin? i know he is involved in a brawl at the bar. Oh yeah, & where is “Bubba” ? I really would like to see him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read somewhere that they plan on leaving Bubba out because it won’t resonate the same way on screen as it did in the books (because on screen we would all know he was just a look-a-like…) But I would love to see Bubba too!! He is so creepy how he pops out of no where in all the books, and I would love to see Sookie react to that!!

Nooooo! I am so still rooting for Bill and Sookie. Though, Eric and Sookie should have something together. It’s amazing how the series(on tv) is so much MORE different than the books. I really do try and keep them separate but….it’s difficult at times haha!
I just love to hate Lorena… But if someone’s gotta go – might as well be her!

It’s Lorena. It’s in the books, and clearly she is who kidnaped Bill (hahah that part was awesome). Oh and I really hope they put in the part when Sookie feeds from Eric and he… well does something all over her back… hope this comment doesn’t get deleted. Read that books!!
Right there with you, Amanda!!! I’m so looking forward for that scene between Eric and Sookie. They just can’t cut that one out. Season 3 is gonna be amazing.

I think it will be Lorena;however I don’t think it would be like it was in the books, at least I hope they change it up some, maybe let Jessica state her instead.
Lorena, Hoyt’s mother, and Debbie Pelt are my guesses. Can’t wait for Eric and Sookie to steam up my TV. Bill has lost his charm for me. There are times when he shines, but he is not always honorable by a long shot.
Am still rooting for Bill and Sookie!
