HBO just announced a series of new, collectible True Blood figural busts from DC Unlimited, coming in July 2010. The first set of characters in the series are Sookie, Bill, and Eric, plus the Merlotte’s neon sign. You can pre-order the busts at local comic book stores, favorite online retailers, and pop culture and specialty stores, plus they’ll be available at the HBO online store next summer. HBO assures us that more characters will be added to the series later. Check out the gorgeous prototypes below:

LOL! I don’t know about those. It would be one thing to make dolls or action figures, but to cut them off at the knees? If they vibrated………..er…………..they’d be……….like…….Maryann?
I’m sorry, but that is NOT what those statues are going to look like, It is absolutely obvious that they photoshopped the actors faces on the bodies of those figures. They don’t have the faces done yet. That’s just pitiful they would release those photos.
So does anyone know of any online retailers that have pre-order avaiable yet? I just scoured the net, and my favorite toy shops, and can’t find any info… Or is it still too early?

I have to agree, those things honestly look silly. I just hope that nothing else is going to be made similar to these things in the event that TB is going to sell out just like Twilight did. I really, really, *really* hope it doesn’t.
