The men of True Blood were honored at the GQ Men of Year Awards last night. Alexander Skarsgard attended the event in Los Angeles, where he met up with Straw Dogs co-star Kate Bosworth. The man definitely has a style all his own. Check out photos in the Gallery.

Ryan Kwanten attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards in Australia last night. Photos aren’t available on Wireimage yet, but Lainey Gossip has some. Posted photos of Ryan in the Gallery! Loving the dark hair! Stephen Moyer is busy filming on location, so was unable to attend.

Fan of the Southern Vampire Mysteries since 2001, and co-admin of since 2008. Team Sookie!

He looks like a bum, I can’t believe that’s how he dressed for his GQ award. And, don’t get me started on that short hair!!!! They better put a wig on him or something, Erik in the book is supposed to have beautiful long blond hair!

love Alex no matter how he looks, cant wait for more of Eric on True Blood. So sick about hearing of Stephan Moyer as Bill. Bill is only the main male lead in the first 2 books before it turns to Eric and then Bill is only in the background for the rest of the books. Time for someone else to take the lead Stephans dialog seems so forced and fake compaired to Alex’s.

It is true that in the books Bill becomes more of a supporting character and I really would love the show to go that way too. I hope that although the show makes some changes, they keep the major plot points the same (and stop giving Eric’s great book parts to Bill- like when Bill stakes Long Shadow instead of Eric- Bill has enough good stories to tell w/o him always having to be the hero). Love the show and am excited that Bill is kidnapped because that does follow book three. I liked that storyline. It makes Sookie so much stronger and independent, introduces Alcide and gives Bill more depth too; plus it allows Bill to date new characters and brings Sookie into other relationships. It was a good book for other storylines too. Can’t wait to see it all play out!

I love it! He looks so Euro, he’s just at the wrong event for the outfit that’s all. I admit I’m not so wild about the shoes. This looks just like his outfit in Paris.

Wow! He went to a GQ party dressed like that?!

He is either making fun of the “GQ Man” image or he is clueless about clothes and what looks good on him.

Oh well, he is still cute dressed like a dork.

To the people that talk about his clothes. He is a Swede for crying out loud. We dont really care about looking “fab” or glamourous.

A nice young man, poorly dressed, and so not Eric of the books. Tall, blue eyes, but slightly built, light brown hair cut short. Couldn’t swing a Viking sword if his life depended on it. The Eric of the books is massive, has golden hair, bright blue eyes, full of devilment and delight. Not blase, as depicted in the show. But then it’s only one of many major changes, which turn the show into something else entirely, “inspired by” rather than a show based on the series.
