With production on True Blood season 3 set to begin Thursday, the casting news and spoilers are ramping up! We already know that Grant Bowler and Marshall Allman have signed on, and now Michael Ausiello breaks the news that Shannon Lucio (another Prison Break alum, along with Allman) is joining True Blood as Caroline Compton, Bill’s wife. She’ll be seen in flashback, possibly beginning as early as episode 301, and will be a recurring character.
Any bets on when we’ll find out who’s been cast as Alcide?

You think? I don’t remember Alcide being that much older than Sookie, but if he is Alcide…YUM!
I’m voting that he may be Calvin. I could be wrong, but I just don’t see him as Alcide. =(

as for Alcide… i’m very anxious to know who the lucky guy is… my fantasy list is Adrian Grenier of “Entourage” (if the Acting Gods bestowed upon him some semblance of talent to go with that purdy face) and … Sendhil Ramamurthy (yummy) from “Heroes.”
Everyone has there own Alcide in there head. As for me, I think Steven Straight would be the perfect Alcide. Yep, Definately!!

Remember in the books, she always makes comments about how he’d be the perfect match for her? He eats food, sleeps at night, can have breakfast with her every morning, and he’s WARM. Sookie speaks of Alcide as a partner all the time.
Of course, his Achilles Heel is Debbie Pelt. This is what makes him less than perfect.
Guys……..Scott Elrod is the perfect actor to play Alcide. He’s 6′3″ (tall enough to stand up to Skarsgard’s Eric), he’s rugged, beautiful, and suave. I wrote to him several months ago and he said he would have “his people” look into getting an audition. Guess we’ll see? Wouldn’t that be exciting?
