i love that the books start close to where the last left off, seems Sookie’s not coping well! oh no!
It was great to read back into sookie’s world because I have been going through withdrawel from the last book and waiting for season three…I hate waiting…page six was blank when i read the chapter…I wonder if there was a reason for that or just a simple mistake…Oh well 5 months to go until the whole book is available…Thanks for that preview itr really made my night!!!

one of the pages wouldn’t load, i think it was 6. i feel so bad for sookie, being tortured by 2 crazy fairies =not fun. i gotta re-read all the books before this one comes out to remember all that happened again!!! can’t wait for the next book

Finally Sookie admits she loves Eric whoohoo! and I also like the fact that Eric is being sweet regarding sex after the fairy attack.

i’ve never had a doubt but reading it was great!!!
she is so sad and drepress but she just need time to fix everything and i guess Eric could care well of her as he always did….he is so patience, even reading that she has some difficulties in bad to find pleasure again with him becouse of the tortures…reading that Eric ask everytime if she is sure to engage sex with him….and he knew she didn’t “feel” during make love….
I feel bad for her but Sookie is strong, has good peole around her, Tara, Sam, Eric and even Pam cares for her…..
I guess taking care of a child as Hunter could be a good way to heal even mentally…..

Eric is one of a kind. But I find him to be a little overwhelming.” He was a strong personality, and he was used to being the big fish in the pond. He also knew he had infinate time ahead of him.
I did not.
He hadn’t brought that up yet, but sooner or later, he would.
‘Overwhelming or not, I love him’, I continued, I’d never said it out loud. ‘And I guess that’s the bottom line’.
‘I guess it is’, Amelia tried to smile at me, but I’m sure it was a woeful attempt. ‘Listen, you keep up that up, the self knowledge thing’
Awesome first chapter(!): Dialogues with Amelia and Claude were riveting. As for the uncertainty that is Sookie Stackhouse’s heart: It was bloody time that she verbally admitted her love for Eric. Hallelujah!
To be an impartial critic though, I will say I am getting a little tired of her roller coaster love life… the fact that this indecision will be dragged for another 3 books is even more of a… a… drag.
wow it is good to get to read some of the next book. I feel so sad for sookie she is not coping well with the attack I really hope she gets better it makes me so sad because she is sad. O and page 6 would not work something popped up and said cant display the page contact the person who set up the pages.

I enjoyed reading the chapter. It’s smoothly transitioning from the last book. IMO, that although Sookie is not having an easy time, she will make it through. Now Claude…losing his last sibling must be extremely difficult. Has he already chosen to stay in the human world? Or is he joining his grandfather?
Now I’m excited to read more about Eric. I’ve been missing his “killer” jokes and charming persona.
This is one fix that we REALLY needed!

I am not surprised at her lack of coping at this point. It’s still too soon. A bit surprised at the early chapter release, especially with the loving Eric thing right out there. I have a feeling CH has big plans in store for our Sookie and beware, I feel a rocky path for her and Eric.
Ditto on the rocky path for sookie and eric, anyone else think that bill might come back into the fray and renew her sex drive with you-saved-me-from-the-evil-fae-and-almost-died-doing-it-and-eric-wasn’t-there sex? Hm……all the same, first chapter of the new book…giggitty
I have a feeling the “thorns” on the cover of the book will have an impact on Eric and Sookie…I still feel she is just too much up and down, in and out about her feelings for Eric….wish the blood bond was gone, so she would truly know her heart.

Sookie Stackhouse has finally settled into a relationship with the Viking vampire Eric, and her errant brother Jason seems to have his life in order, too. But all the other people in Sookie’s life – Eric himself, her former lover Bill, her friend and boss Sam – are having family problems. Eric’s maker shows up with Eric’s ‘brother’ in tow, the ailing Bill can only be healed by a blood sibling, and Sam’s brother’s marriage is about to take place …or will it? The furor raised by the coming out of the two-natured has yet to settle; some people are just not ready to sit down to dinner with a man who turns into a dog. And Sookie herself is still recovering from her last ordeal. She’s definitely improving, physically and mentally, but she’s always going to have some dark moments now. The werewolves tell her that there have been strange and ominous passers-by in the Stackhouse woods; now Sookie is about to come face-to-face with one of her more distant relatives…
i CANNOT wait until it comes out….i had thought that book 9 was the last one and the way it ended i knew could NOT be the end of the series…..ive been rereading the books again and again….c’mon may 4th!!!
Yes I knew she loved him but now she is so traumatized and he wasn’t the one to save her… So I have to agree with some posters that Bill is the one who would watch her grow old and be with her with true love that goes beyond passion. It kills me to say that cause I don’t like him much but he is the stable one. Eric will want to turn her sooner or not that much later and CH has stated on her website Sookie will not be a vamp in the end. But hey Sookie and Quinn could grow old together and make babies
