As promised, here is the second part to the interview Ausiello did with Joe Manganiello. Joe pleads Alcide’s case where Sookie is concerned and talks a bit about how he sees the character.

Alcide is about to put a major kink in True Blood’s polarizing Eric/Sookie/Bill triangle. At least that’s the word from the werewolf’s portrayer, Joe Manganiello, who makes a strong case for an Alcide/Sookie pairing in Part 2 of our exclusive Q&A.  The 33-year-old actor also weighs in on the length of his commitment to the show and why he isn’t afraid of those crazy Team Bill and Team Eric fans.

OMG!! I started reading the book series only to find out what might happen next. Boy was I surprised the show is only 50/50 like the books. Now on book 5, I am so in love with the thought of Sookie marrying Alcide! He is her perfect match, or at least as far as I have read. I am not sure if this actor is how I pictured him, I really haven’t seen this guy act, so will give him benefit of the doubt.

WRITERS* please go through the whole witch wars! Don’t screw up that plot line too much. After reading the books, I am not as enthusiastic about the way the show is going.

Me, take a deep breath. The creator of True Blood, Alan Ball, uses the books as only a blue print of where he decides to take the story, AND he has Charlaine Harris’s blessing. He makes great TV, she writes great books. DO NOT compare books to show. I’ve read every single one of the books, but I’m addicted to the series. They are different. Both very addictive, but do not expect TB to follow any vision you have of how you want the story told. You will be disappointed, but hopefully addicted to another medium, and the characters story.

Mmmm, Alcide is a great werewolf.
