Happy New Year, Truebies! As True Blood goes back into production after the holidays, the casting news is beginning to flow again. First up comes news that Southland‘s Kevin Alejandro will join True Blood as Jesus Velasquez, a recurring character for season 3 and potentially a regular in season 4. Who is Jesus? He’s the orderly caring for Lafayette’s mama, Ruby Jean Reynolds (played by Alfre Woodard), in a mental health care facility who becomes involved with Lafayette. Sounds like our favorite V-dealer is in for some long-term lovin’!

I am happy to see this actor joining the cast of TB. I would like to urge everyone to watch ‘Southland’ when it airs on TNT Jan 12…..I watched this show last year and loved it! Would very much like to see it renewed and it needs fan support.

i was thinking Eric and Lafayette have an interesting chemistry. I think there should be some blurred lines there. Although the Eric obsessed fans might protest.
Jesus is the orderly caring for Lafayette’s mother, not Lafayette’s “mama” as you offensively phrased.

aww finally! Lafayette needs someone! but damn, i’m so jealous that Lafayette has someone so… SEXY!!! but he is sexy too so… damn! I can’t wait for the new season!
