Win J.R. Ward’s Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood)
Since True Blood wrapped its second season here in the U.S., we’ve been recommending other options for Truebies to read, watch, do, etc. Many of you have responded with your own recommendation that Truebies check out J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood. Described as an erotic paranormal romance series, it focuses on six vampire brothers who live together and defend their race against Lessers, de-souled humans who threaten their kind.
Dark Lover is the first book in the series and tells the story of Wrath, the only purebred vampire left on the planet. Wrath has a score to settle with the slayers who murdered his parents centuries ago, but when one of his most trusted fighters is killed- orphaning a half-breed daughter unaware of her heritage or her fate – Wrath must usher the beautiful female into the world of the undead…
Racked by a restlessness in her body that wasn’t there before, Beth Randall is helpless against the dangerously sexy man who comes to her at night with shadows in his eyes. His tales of brotherhood and blood frighten her. But his touch ignites a dawning hunger that threatens to consume them both…
Brooding, gorgeous vampire men; beautiful, mortal (or are they?) women; supernatural intrigue; quests for soulmates – what’s not to love? If you’re looking for another series to tide you over in between Sookie Stackhouse novels and seasons of True Blood, this should be on your list.
(Already hooked on the Brotherhood? The next book in the series, Lover Mine, is due April 27.)

I seem to be exhausting the vampire/supernatural genre these days, my shelves are filled with books I have read more than once. I read the Sookie books over two years ago & get ridiculously excited whenever a new short story or book comes out. I’m all over the Anita Blake series and the raunch and excitement that goes with them, I just read Flirt – bring on Bullet. I finished the Merry Gentry series a while ago and am suffering withdrawals. I read the Georgina Kincaid (Richelle Mead) series in a little over two weeks and now wish there was more of my favourite succubus to read about, I devoured the Rachel Morgan (Kim Harrison) series and fell in love with the witch with the weird vampire relationship, the Vampire Acadamy was completed over a year ago and I have read all of the Vampire Chronicles… I recently read the beginning of the Drake Chronicles – My love lies bleeding… I finished it in 2 hours… I’m currently debating going back to the start of some of these series and starting again. I need new blood…

I’ve been reading the undead series as well!!! I’m in the book where she is suppossed to get married, but I’m kind of afraid they may get rid of Sinclair. It would be a shame, he is as close to an Eric as I’ve found!!! (Eric with a nice streak that is…)
