True Blood Season 3 Photos: Old Favorites and Hot New Faces
HBO has released the first batch of True Blood season 3 photos and boy is it nice to see our gang in action again! First up we have Alexander Skarsgard as Eric and his right hand gal, Kristin Bauer as Pam.

I’m kind of disappointed about the Sookie and Alcide picture. Unless I’m wrong, it looks like the bar or club or whatever…and that’s also what Ausiello said it was. Anyway, my point is that Sookie is in a white dress…and should be red. I know that’s such a small thing…but…white?
i don’t think the worst thing is the color. it’s that it’s LACE. Sookie is so fashionably inept sometimes it’s adorable, maybe it is stuff from the 90′s that she can still fit. she looks like a doily which goes along great with her red handkerchief dress from last season.
i kind of agree, i mean i don’t think she shops for the latest and greatest (if you read the books you know she tends to be prudent with money) and usually i like most of what she wears. But i have to agree it may not be the color but she looks way too innocent. The dresses she wore in the books were way sexier, this looks way too innocent for a gall gets in so much trouble with the men-as Sookie does in the books.
Also, according to the books, Alcide should be in a suit, not some rumpled plaid shirt. I guess the “club” is now more of a low class bar.
i think Franklin looks “Sleazy, sleazy, sleazy” and i love it, love it, love it. it looks like he’s saying “Oh, hai dere, i wuz jus admiring ur jugular.”

but part of me was really wanting to see the Spanish Don look that was described in the book. But i like this actor and he is easy on the eyes.
Looks Like Eric’s pictures are from the same scene as the “on set” scene with the werewolf. I’m guessing eric is beside sookie because he knows there is someone around her house.
I like the horse – it’s cute. Oh and Bill and Eric. LOL
Im sorry. But tho i think Joe Manganiello is Perfect for this role, just the way i imagined him. But so far from what ive seen in these sneak peek photos, Alcide looks a bit too rugged and hairy in the face for my liking. Its SO not how i pictured my sexy cajun. I hope the character ends up shaving five minutes into his first appearance in the new season. True Blood please dont dissapoint me now!

I have to disagree with you guys on Franklin, I mean he isn’t hot but I think he fits the role perfectly, if you’ve seen him in The Tudors then you will think so to. =]

Is there any way that the picture of Eric in his Corvette is a snapshot of when he takes Sookie to the restaraunt? I don’t want to give too many details for the ones that don’t read the books, but maybe someone that has read the book will understand the scene that I’m talking about and may be able to provide their input.

I don’t understand why they dyed Alex’s hair so dark. How exactly does a vampire’s hair color change anyway? I also thought Russel’s hair was supposed to be red. Maybe I’m wrong. Eh, Eric is hot no matter what.
“They” didn’t dye his hair. Alexander Skarsgard did a movie during the hiatus.

If hi had darker hair while hi was doing a another movie .. They cud have dye his hair blond . Eric shud be blond to me . This will be crazy but i think ther are more to this blood bond thing .. and a resoun for it and i have my own theory about it . And did not Eric´s hair sort of have that color 2 in season 2 ? .. if you look close .
Maybe Pam refuses to do his hair again? I think it was from Straw Dogs movie that his hair was darker.
Russell and Mott were not “hotties” in the books. I think these actors will be great. Sooo who or what do you think Russell is hunting?

I was hoping that Niall wasn’t included yet in the story line, but with the twists in the show as compared to the books, I can never tell. I have to admit that at first, I was a Bill fan, but since the books, I have begun to hate him and am pulling for Eric. Besides, Eric is just hotter.
Jenn: Eric takes Sookie to the restaurant in book 8. I am wondering if he “feels” her stress with Bill missing and he shows up at the restaurant where Bill proposed to her. Perhaps he picks her up and takes her back to her house.
Lydia so glad you posted that. I was hoping that they didn’t jump that far ahead in the books. You have a great point that maybe he “senses” her distress and comes to check it out. There is a pic of her in the Fangtasia basement so maybe he takes her there. I’m so glad they added the vette b/c it is mentioned several times in the books and she says it’s such a typical car for him!
I’m throwing in my 2 cents worth for James Frain as Franklin Mott. If you all don’t want him – YAY! He’s all mine! LOL!

Look´s like Jessica maybe will return to Pam and Eric for some time ? Maybe that´s one other resun sookie are at fangatasia ? But were are they ( Pam and Jessica ) ? And maybe like Lydia said .. maybe Eric fellt her stress ? and does not Pams dress look alot like the other one in the shot when Sooke look´s to be in Eric´s bacement ? And the rest .. Look´s like ther are going to be a awesome season 3

Can someone tell me why Pam isn’t on the character/actor bios on the HBO True Blood website? They have every other minor character, and even a few who aren’t even around anymore, but no Pam.

Love all these shots, but especially the one with Alcide. When I was reading Club Dead my imagination picture Alcide as a combo of body of “The Rock” and at least shoulder length hair and constant 5 o’clock shadow. Don’t know why, but I guess my mind likes to picture construction/trade men with a rugged appearance, but after seeing the photos of the actor playing Alcide, I think I like HBO casting version better!
Season 3 appears to have a lot of new characters. Can’t wait! I hope we will see more of Eric and Pam this season. Very interesting!
I don’t know if it’s me, but Pam looks better with each season, I think more like the pam I think of from the books. Eric in a red vette Who wouldn’t want that ride.. Yumm-o .. Other Pictures, I find strange, But eh I’m sure season 3 will as amazing as the last to. I just hope they make many more seasons, there are a few times in other books, i would love to see of eric and other people we have and haven’t met yet..

I think James Frain is going to do an AMAZING job as Franklin… as he is an absolutely fantastic actor. I can’t wait to see him in this role. I’m looking forward to it BIG TIME.
The ONLY BIIIIIIIG problem I have with this is the picture of Alcide and Sookie. This is a huge problem for me, because… well…. how to say this… WHAT IN THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH ALCIDE’S HAIR?!
Seriously, AB?! What are you THINKING?! You got a gorgeous actor, who fits the character profile PERFECTLY… and then go and change the one thing about him that was mentioned the most in the books?
That man’s hair is SUPPOSED to be LONG (like to his shoulders), disheveled, just jumped out of bed styled, and is NEVER supposed to look like he succeeded in combing it back. Not only did they style Joe’s (who plays Alcide) hair to look NEAT, but it’s sooooo much shorter than it’s supposed to be. You are missing out on a hell of a lot of HOT, not letting Joe M have long hair.
Sigh. So many disappointments.

i need to reread the franklin parts of the books, i think. the moment he was introduced in the books, i pictured him as being *disgusting*, like a sterotypical “vampire” with greased-back hair and a snake-like appearance. everyone here seems to agree, though, that he was sexy in the books. what book have i been reading? lol!
