Friday Five: Funniest True Blood Scenes

Time for another Friday Five and this week we’ll entertain you with funniest True Blood scenes from the first two seasons. Alan Ball & Co. have given us some pretty hairy moments, some intense and some pretty sad ones, but balancing it all out are the funnies. Here are five of my faves. Warning: May contain spoilers for those who have not yet seen both seasons.

1.  Jason – Providing the most humor in the series, Jason Stackhouse tops the chart. It was difficult to come up with one moment that stood out from all the rest, there were so many. However, if I were pressed, I’d have to say the little episode with his first taste of V. ‘Nuff said!

2.  Eric, you devil – Eric was at his most devilish when he tricked Sookie into sucking bullets out of his chest. The toothy grin said it all.

3.  Sam, the god who comes – If this wasn’t a snort-your-Pepsi-through-your-nose moment, I don’t know what was. With Jason and Andy to back him up? Come on, you know that was funny stuff!

4.  Introducing, Tara – When we first meet Tara, she reading a book while at work. We find out quickly that Tara is not the best choice for retail service, yet she ends up working behind the bar at Merlotte’s. The way she handles the female customer at the store and then the dude that snaps for her at the bar are some classic Tara moments.

5.  Jessica, the teen terror – Bill’s handling of newly turned vampire, Jessica, may have been a nightmare for the civil war vet, but it induced some stellar hilarity for us. “You’re the worse maker ever!”

These are just off the top of my head. I’m sure you could all add to it; I know that, given enough time, I could.

Over-night fan (almost literally) of the Sookie Stackhouse series since early 2008. Co-owner of True-Blood.net. Anxiously anticipating season 6.
