Tonight on True Blood: “It Hurts Me Too” With Live Chat

By  |  4 Comments

Are you ready for some Alcide? True Blood welcomes a major character tonight with the first appearance of Joe Manganiello as Alcide Herveaux, and we’ll get a glimpse of Bill’s wife in a flashback to 1866.

In search of Bill, Sookie heads to Jackson, Mississippi in the company of Alcide, a werewolf bodyguard assigned by Eric to protect her. Jason is distracted from his police exams; Bud reaches the end of his rope; Arlene copes with unexpected news; Franklin charms Tara, and gets Jessica out of a jam; Eric bequeaths a gift to Lafayette. Haunted by visions from his past, Bill makes a surprising pledge of allegiance. (Written by Alexander Woo; directed by Michael Lehmann.)

“It Hurts Me Too” airs Sunday, June 27 at 9/8c on HBO. See promo stills from season 3, check out spoilers for this episode, watch our latest podcast with our take on last week’s episode, listen to our interview with Joe Manganiello, and be sure to come back at 8:45 EST for our live chat!

I caught an editing mistake in last night’s episode. After that new, creepy vampire & Tara got through banging, (just b4 she got dressed & took off) the curtains were open & the sun was shining in on both of them. Uh…it had no effect on him.

It was nighttime (you can tell when Tara opens the door to leave), so the light must have been from a street lamp.

I dont understand why Bill had sex with Lorraine? Why did he do it?

That sex scene was just gratuitous…I mean, I get that they were trying to portray Bill going over to the Dark Side, but him twisting her head around came off more goofy and “look what the special effects department can do!” than something that showed Bill’s change in character. I thought him torching her with a lamp within two seconds of seeing her was much more effective. We get it. He really, really hates her.

And Sookie has the best heart in the world, but she really is not too bright. Luring a huge, hulking Were into the back when she knows for a fact he wants to molest her? Not her best. And she should know enough from her dealings with Supes so far that she really ought not wear blinding white frilly things in a room full of creatures that would gladly eat her.

This has been driving me nuts, but does anyone know what in the world Eric shouts at the end of the promo? I want to believe he’s rushing to Sookie’s rescue, but I can’t tell…
