Friday Five: True Blood Comic Con Highlights

Four days after coming home from the 2010 San Diego Comic Con, I’m still catching up on sleep and discovering bruises I didn’t know I had. It’s totally worth it, though, when you can come away with some fantastic memories. Needless to say, I’ve got a few.

  1. Meeting Charlaine Harris and getting to chat with her face-to-face was one of the highlights of this year’s Comic Con. She’s such a delight to listen to, quick witted and I love it when she let’s her secret fangirl out.
  2. Running into James Frain at a party. Need I say more?
  3. Watching Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer bring out that cardboard standy of Alexander Skarsgard during the True Blood panel.  Priceless!
  4. Meeting and chatting with Nathan Barr. I swear, I wanted to put him in my pocket and take him home with me. He’s a beautiful man.
  5. Watching the first preview of the rest of season 3 with so many True Blood fans, together in one room. Nothing like it in the world!

There were many, many moments from last week that I will always cherish, not the least of them being meeting Truebies that visit True-Blood.net. You guys make all the pain and sleepless nights well worth it. And I know your energy was felt by the cast as well.

The crowd roars as Stephen and Anna bring "Alex" out on the stage

Over-night fan (almost literally) of the Sookie Stackhouse series since early 2008. Co-owner of True-Blood.net. Anxiously anticipating season 6.
