Alan Ball Makes Top 50 List

THR rolled out their list of TV’s top 50 showrunners and Alan Ball is right at the top. From playwrite to the hottest, most daring vampire show on TV today, Alan seems to have the same golden touch awarded to the likes of Bruckheimer.

Ball says his big break came “when Carolyn Strauss pitched the idea of ‘Six Feet Under’ to me and when HBO agreed to make it.” HBO plans on continuing their relationship with Ball by renewing True Blood for a fourth season and handing him the reins to a possible new series, “All Signs of Death,” which is based on the Charlie Huston crime noir novel “The Mystic Arts of Erasing All Signs of Death.”
