Friday Five: Fit for Female Humans

This week we’re taking some tips from the ladies of True Blood. Sookie and Tara have needed to use every ounce of muscle they carry on their fit and trim bodies, to ward off vampires, maenads, shifters and who knows what else will come along. Let’s see what Anna Paquin and Rutina Wesley do to fortify themselves.

  1. Rutina likes to get at least 20 minutes of cardio workout into her day. Since she also loves to dance, she’s joined hip-hop classes, combining fun with a routine she creates herself.
  2. Anna loves the energetic workout that boxing brings. A couple of hours, several times a week keeps her sweating and slim.
  3. Rutina joins her hubby in the batting cages for fun and focusing on control and balance.
  4. Anna, still loving that burn, adds plyometrics and weight work with longtime trainer Clay Burwell, to her routines. Think it’s working? Mmhmm!
  5. Rutina switched from eating heavier foods to a lighter fare, like salads and light snacks, to feel a lot better and ready to take on another Franklin Mott.
