Joe Manganiello Promises “Boy Sandwiches” on True Blood

Well, well, sounds like Sookie might be shedding her good girl image even further in True Blood season 4, at least if Joe Manganiello isn’t pulling our legs. In an interview with Access Hollywood on the Paley Fest red carpet, he said:

“There’s defiantly going to be some boy-sandwiches this year,” Joe said of the upcoming new season. “With Sookie in the middle, for sure!”

Is it hot in here?!? Watch the video with Joe who also talks about keeping in shape, missing out on Superman, and why he might be watching Dancing With the Stars this season.

Did I hear him correctly? @ 0:55 does he say Season 5 True Blood schedule? Do we know if the show has already been picked up for a 5th season??

Yes, he did say Season 5, but I think that was a mistake. There is no word on season 5 at all. Joe was kind of tired. ;-)

Please try to stick to the story in the books more….you going off into la la land and your really going to loose alot of fans!!!! teriffic show though great entertainment, and Jessia is a hoot!!!!!

As a HUGE fan of the books (hence, the reason for this website), I would be completely bored to death if they stuck wholely to the books on the show. The books are told ONLY from Sookie’s view point. Other things were happening around her, in Bon Temps. I love seeing just what those things might have been.

I also disagree with you, that True Blood will lose a lot of fans if they don’t stick only to the books. In fact, there are ,any, many fans of the show who have not read the books, and are not interested in ever reading them. Then there are the many, many fans who are going to read the books BECAUSE they’ve seen this show and love it. Not to mention the fans who just love the show for what it is!

Somewhere on one of the interviews a while back, they were also saying that if they stuck to the books, it would be a documentary. I agree, there are other characters in the books, and also different days in between what was happening in the books. Even though I am a HUGE fan of the books, (and yes sometimes I want to agree and wish they would stick to the books), I can honestly say, I’m glad they don’t…Alan is so creative and gives a new spill on the books, which for me, actually enhances them and the show.
(Another point of view as to what is going on).
