I'm a hopeless sci-fi geek and huge fan of shows like True Blood, Lost, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I write episode reviews and articles about many of the shows that I love. All of my reviews are at DouxReviews.com

I think Pam is really shining this season. She is the closest to her book character and I love it!

I couldn’t agree with you more. She has the attitude down pat! I really like the whole *wait a minute* moment she has. “Did i miss something?” Like she feels she might soften if she falls prey to the emotional marathon Sookie’s always trying to include her in by talking to her.

I totally agree…this season Pam is taking the lead! She has the funniest lines…wow…I’v been waiting for Eric to get amnesia..I hope the story line is much like the book so this episode will favor Eric+Sookie! 😉

Excellent recap as always, Billie. However, and I may be remembering this wrong (but I watched the episode three times-LOL!), didn’t Luna say that all a skinwalker needed to do to shift into another person was to kill another shifter? Not necessarily a family member. She can shift into any form, family or not, because she inadvertently killed her mother.

    I love reading your recaps!

Thanks, Liz! I *think* that was what Luna said, but I certainly could have gotten it confused.

I am hoping we slip right into the Eric and Sookie story. Several books later I love them and don’t desire her to be back with liar Bill. Um what is going on in fairyland. Bit much. Tara and Lafayette, tired of their mistakes. Tara is a stronger character in the book and she has her own. The coven, hmm. Bill sleeping with just anyone. Bill not so much the gentleman. Andy out of control, get it together. Jason responsible. LOL. NOt for long.

I have to say… i’m unfortunately a little disappointed with this season so far 🙁 I loved the books, and i love the show, each in their own special ways… Tara being a lesbian, Bill being king (wtf?), i’m so confused about so many things i guess i’m just in shock lol i’m sure it will get better for me, i just wanted to see if anyone is as confused as me after 2 episodes… 😛

One thing i did find funny as hell though, was bill’s fight with the queen… if you notice they had to try to make his hair longer and match what it looked like at the end of the last. Well, his hair in the scenes they shot this year actually made me laugh 😛

Bill’s hair made me laugh also, it looked like a bad Elvis wig. =)

Love true blood, but I’m not lovin’ Sookie seeking Bill’s help w/ what to do about Eric. Book Sookie would NEVER have done that! Otherwise, I’m enjoying this.

I think the lack of a faerie time lapse in Season 3 can be explained.

Last season both Sookie & Bill visited while in a “dream state”, their actually bodies did not leave the human plane. At the end of Season 3 Sookie physically left the human plane when she took Claudine’s hand. You know she physically left because when she arrived at the start of Season 4 she mentioned she felt nauseaous, which didn’t happen the other times she visited.

    Just a thought.

You must have been reading my thoughts. I read a few of the comments about the inconsistencies with the time and there is a distinct difference between the time when a fairy is transported to the other dimension and when they are being visited in a dream state.

I would say that this is on purpose so that Fae must stay in their plane (as opposed to the human plane) in order to enjoy the benefits of non-aging and eternal beauty.

The only thing else I think worth mentioning is the reaction Sookie had when Tara showed up. Demons or witches about to attack her? How did you guys read that? Just a scared reaction, or something legitimate?

    Love Bill’s 80’s hair! Very Billy Idol-ish.
Eric pulls good string…..hehehe oh Pam I love you!

If I ever become a vampire, I want a cubby like that!!

I always look forward to your reviews, Billie and as usual, you didn’t disappoint.

I especially loved 80’s punk Bill (I also had a flashback to Spike in the ‘Fool For Love’ episode of BtVS), Eric’s cubby and the last scene of the episode. I can’t wait for Sunday.

I was also wondering if you ever plan on writing reviews for the Sookie Stackhouse book series?

Hello, my old Buffy friend Jana! Good to hear from you! Yes, I’ve thought a bit about writing reviews of the Sookie books. Might happen. We’ve started doing more book reviews on my site.

Hello, my friend. It’s been a while.

I’m crossing my fingers and toes that you will decide to do a review(s) of the books. In the meantime, I will get my TB fix from this website and your recaps.

I also visit your wonderful website on a regular basis where I catch up on all of my other favourite shows.
