Tonight on True Blood: “If You Love Me, Why Am I Dyin’?”

By  |  21 Comments

Everyone’s been asking where Alcide has been lately. We’ve been missing our favorite hot-blooded were ourselves, but tonight our patience is rewarded.

Tonight on True Blood, Sookie makes a deal with Eric, and reconnects with Alcide; Bill punishes an errant vampire and counsels a guilt-ridden Jessica; Jason is cast as a reluctant savior; Tommy eyes a scam and alienates Sam; Marnie flexes her newfound powers; Pam delivers an ultimatum to Lafayette, Tara and Jesus; Eric spoils Sookie’s faerie reunion. (Written by Alan Ball; directed by David Petrarca.)

Billie Doux returns with her awesome recaps this season, so be sure to check back with us. And we will be adding our own thoughts about episode 4.03 in our podcast which goes up here in a couple of days, but in the meantime you can watch last week’s podcast, check out photos from this week’s episode, and enter to win our latest giveaway. Did any of the book fans catch the ‘ick’ factor in Portia and Bill hooking up tonight due to the fact he is her great-great-great-grandpa in the books? Next week’s synopsis for Episode 4 says… Bill discovers a common bond with the Bellefleurs… I wonder if Bill figures it out after tasting her blood?

omg! yes, that was so ick, I can’t even begin to process it!

I’m hoping that the show goes a different direction, like Bill was really good friends with the Bellefleurs’ ancestors or something. Hotshot is about as much inbreeding as I can handle.

I’m with Mel…I hope they go a different direction with Bill n Portia bc it would be disturbing if it follows the book. Can’t remember if Bill wife died or not. Because maybe she remarried n the belledleurs are related to her and not Bill.

Also, did anyone get the fact that Claudine was there the first night bill gave sookie blood? She said she help but didn’t want to risk getting near bc vampire bill was around. If she knew bill was there, doesn’t she then know that bill waited for them to beat up sookie before rescuing her? If so, I find it hard to believe that she trust he loves sookie enough to tell him about the fairies etc last season.

Does anyone else see Bill becoming the next Russell Edgington?? or is that just me? lol! Idk, why, but it seems like the power has already gone to his head! Also, does anyone else seem to think that either Maxine or Summer is behind that creepy old doll, that seems to keep reappearing in Jessica’s and Hoyt’s house?

I don’t see Bill as the next Russell Edgington at all. Power has not gone to his head, he’s not arrogant with it, he’s smart and thinks things through, unlike Edgington. Bill knows his limits and he knows how to use resources.

Tonight’s episode was good, looking forward to seeing more Sookie/Eric scenes. & OMG, poor Jason. He has to have sex with all of those Hotshot girls/women that was lined up while Crystal was raping him. He’s going to have like, 30 kids.

      Oh don’t worry about that.

That’s enough, Mary. If you need to bash a character, we suggest you go over to the IMDb boards.

Wow you guys take TB a little too serious. I like when they actually follow the books more ie first season. Thats all, seems like so much is going on and all these different stroylines ie jessica and hoyt, terry and arlene, sam and his bro plus shifter chick. Just seems like a lot

Well we actually like the show. This is a True Blood fan site, after all. If you say you don’t like the show anymore I’m thinking you’re not a fan. The show and the books are two separate entities, and True Blood has Charlaine’s own approval: ““I think they got the spirit of the books exactly right. I knew Alan got me. I mean, we’re both Southern people. I had seen his previous work so I knew he got the mixture of horror and comedy that I feel I’m expressing in the books. I like him. I think he’s a genius.”

Amnesia Eric is so sweet. Can’t wait to see him and Sookie in next week’s episode.

I do so hope Bill is not related to Portia in TB though and poor Jason is rescued asap. Uuugh! Incest and gang rape. I really hope that’s as bad as the yuck factor gets.
