Rutina Wesley to Play Off-Broadway This Autumn

True Blood fans, if you’re headed to the Big Apple this fall, pencil in some time Off-Broadway to see Rutina Wesley in the new play “The Submission”. Julliard-trained Rutina, aka Tara Thornton, has been cast opposite Glee‘s Jonathan Groff in this story of an aspiring playwright with a new drama about an alcoholic black mother. Rutina’s role is being kept under wraps for now.

“The Submission” runs September 26-October 22 at the Lucille Lortel Theater.
