In a strong year for drama, True Blood didn’t register in many of the major Emmy categories, but still snagged four Emmy nominations:

  • Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama – Alfre Woodard
  • Outstanding Art Direction For A Single-Camera Series – “Beautifully Broken”
  • Outstanding Makeup For A Single-Camera Series (Non-Prosthetic) – “9 Crimes”
  • Outstanding Sound Editing For A Series – “Hitting the Ground”
With the way season 4 is shaping up, we have a feeling next year will see more nominations for True Blood. The Emmys air Sunday, September 18, on FOX.

This sucks! I thought there were some awesome performances done by some of TB actors, especially Denis O’Hare as Russell. I thought season 3 was the best season yet, but no Mad Men/Dexter have the lead. Dexter is good, but Mad Men…come on.

I am stunned that Denis O’Hare was not nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama. His performance was beyond impeccable. He was AWESOME!

Congratulations to all of our True Blood nominees! Your nominations are well deserved!

I totaly agree, a lot of actors got dissed. But u have to admit that some of these nomination are crumbs. They should diserve better. jmo.

Denis O’ Hare was snubbed this year just like Michelle Forbes was snubbed last year. -.- Great…
