True Blood Fashion Q&A: Sookie’s Yellow Sundress, Pam’s Corset, Jesus’s Jacket

We’re still in a post-Comic Con hangover here, but that won’t stop us from answering your True Blood fashion questions! Costume designer Audrey Fisher gives us the scoop on three items worn on the show that fans are dying to get more information about.

Q. I’m dying over the yellow, backless dress Sookie wore to the witch’s shop in “Me and the Devil.”  Please tell me it’s still available and isn’t uber-expensive. – Jaimee

A. Wow, you all really, really liked this dress! We had more emails about Sookie’s yellow sundress than any other wardrobe item since we started this column. Audrey is on vacation in Brazil right now, but kindly answered our urgent query right away. The adorable yet sassy dress is another custom creation, designed by Audrey and built in-house by her team. Does anyone else think Audrey needs to create a Sookie-inspired line of dresses to sell? In the meantime, check out boutiques like ModCloth, Trashy Diva, and Pin Up Girl Clothing for vintage-inspired dresses like Sookie’s.

Q. I was wondering if you had any information on a piece Kristen Bauer/Pam was wearing during the episode “I’m Alive and on Fire”. It was during the episodes final minutes and looked to be a necklace or some kind of shoulder “bling”? I dont know how to describe it but I loved it! The bodice she was wearing was killer too. But I fell in love with this undescribable jewelry piece because it was so different and so Pam. Thanks in advance. – Lindsey

A.This is another item we had several queries about from Truebies who want to be like Pam. The jewelry is a necklace/epaulette combination piece by designer Sandee Shin. She also custom-made the earrings and cuffs Pam wears to complete the killer look. Check her out at Armor Jewelry. Audrey found the leather corset/bodice from designer Eirik Aswang who specializes in couture clothing. Of course Pam would want couture!

Q. In the last couple of episodes, Jesus has been wearing a black leather jacket. It’s a biker style with a tab collar. Can you tell me who makes it? – Kevin

A. I love that the male True Blood fans are asking fashion questions. This is going to be the most stylish fandom around! Kevin, Jesus’s jacket is actually dark brown, not black. (I thought it was black, too.) Audrey picked it up at H&M last autumn so it’s not currently available in stores, but a classic design like that is bound to turn up again. Bonus: H&M is super affordable!
