Friday Five: Mistakes Made By Tommy Mickens

This week’s Friday Five comes to you courtesy of our forum member, Nothingbutjoy. I issued the challenge to our members and so far, Nothingbutjoy is the only one who has come forward with three great “fives”. Bothered by Tommy making so many mistakes that just land him in more trouble, here are the top five:

5.  Making the assumption that nice guys can’t/won’t issue you a world class beat-down.  Tommy made this mistake twice.  Hoyt knocked Tommy on his butt over Jessica.  Sam shot Tommy in the leg for stealing from him.

4.  Stealing from people.  Tommy was concerned about breaking two commandments when he killed his parents.  He might want to start worrying about this one.  Don’t take stuff from people.  He’s done this repeatedly.

3.  Sleeping with his brother’s, can I call her girlfriend at this point (?).  Especially when you’ve skin-walked and look just like him.  It’s just bad form and not condusive to building brotherly love.

2.  Quit picking fights with everyone.  Tommy repeatedly gets his butt kicked because he is so confrontational.

1.  Not learning from his mistakes!  Tommy has made so many of the mistakes listed more than once.  Yes, he was raised by two of the most vile people ever imagined, but he’s not stupid.  He learned to read and write in one year.  He’s led a hard life, you learn lessons from that, so he can be taught.

That pretty much covers it, I think. I do hope Tommy gets some help. Maybe Alcide will take him under his wing and offer some guidance.

Over-night fan (almost literally) of the Sookie Stackhouse series since early 2008. Co-owner of True-Blood.net. Anxiously anticipating season 6.
