Merry Christmas Grandma, from HBO!

HBO can always be counted on to come up with the best gift ideas for Truebies everywhere. Well, almost. You may have to convince some that [easyazon-link asin="B001FB4W0W"]True Blood: The Complete First Season[/easyazon-link] is what they want for Christmas. [easyazon-link asin="B003UD7J6W"]True Blood: The Complete Fourth Season[/easyazon-link] will not be available in time for the holidays, sadly, but if you are on a mission to snag as many new fans as possible by the end of 2011, gifting seasons 1, [easyazon-link asin="B00280LZAE"]2[/easyazon-link] and [easyazon-link asin="B0032JTV6A"]3[/easyazon-link] are your aids.

About Liz

Over-night fan (almost literally) of the Sookie Stackhouse series since early 2008. Co-owner of Anxiously anticipating season 6.

  1. Lol…poor Grandma. Clearly she is no Adel Stackhouse. Lol.

  2. I saw this on tv the other day and had to rewind and rewatch it over and over. Cracked me up. I love that they can bring the same level of comedy to the commercials as they do to the show. Thanks for posting the commercial so I can watch it some more. :)

  3. Excellent! I hadn’t seen this ad but think it is hilarious!

  4. Lmbo at the face grandma has at the end. After that elaborate (but true) description, who could blame her? In the real world, however, I would have let grandma see the HBO Online episodes first. I’ve found countless DVD collections my folks would be interested in by letting them see a few clips and such. On the other hand, I’ve assumed and bought some collections and got the “grandma face” hahahaha PRICELESS commercial
