Happy New Year! We’re kicking off 2012 with the casting call for True Blood season 5, episode 3, titled “Whatever I Am, You Made Me”.

Looks like we start dealing with the repercussions of Debbie Pelt’s death in this episode as they’re casting her mother, Barbara, and father, Gordon. Both in their 50s, the couple are described as kindly but anxious as they search for their missing daughter. They confront Alcide about her disappearance, and Gordon gets upset with what Alcide has to say about her.

Another member of the Authority makes an appearance in the form of Molly, a cute, bubbly girl in her 20s (or at least she looks that way) who dresses in retro pinup style.  Described as “cute as a button if buttons had fangs,” she outfits two prisoners with complicated deadly devices. Two prisoners? Bill and Eric?

Get ready to meet more residents of Bon Temps! Clothing store owner Tracy is heavily made-up, hair-sprayed and spray-tanned, she owns a small town clothing store and talks trash about Jason to Jessica. Sounds like a woman scorned if you ask me.  Miss Jill Steeler, an ex-teacher, is recently divorced and back in town. She’s described as “she used to be beautiful, now she looks like an attractive, pleasantly plump housewife.” Then there’s Lindsey, a young woman in her 20s who’s fixing a flat tire on a narrow country road when a vampire comes upon her.

We’re flashing back to 1905 again with Dorothy, a young prostitute who has been glamored and is being drained by two vampires when another vampire (newly turned Pam?) saves her.

In a slightly confusing turn, True Blood is casting another (?) Claude. This one is in his early 20s, very attractive (with and without a shirt), omni-sexual, mysterious,  speaks with a British accent, and catches Jessica’s attention and curiosity. This is a recurring role. Is he replacing Neil Hopkins in the role of Claude, Claudine’s brother? Or is this a totally new character?
