Kristin Bauer Promises More Outrageous Pam One-Liners

E! Online caught up with True Blood star Kristin Bauer recently, and she gushed about what’s coming up on season 5, without actually giving us any information. She’s gifted like that!

“Every script I get I go, ‘Oh my god, that’s better than I thought it would be.’ And wardrobe fittings, ‘Oh my god, that’s better than I could have imagined,’ ” Bauer practically hyperventilated.

But scoop-wise, Bauer stayed tight-lipped on the secrets of season five: “I have a pretty good inkling about [what’s to come]. And I can’t tell you anything.” Though she did tease that we should not only expect more totally over-the-top outfits from Pam, but also more R-rated one-liners.

“We thought last year’s gash in the sundress might be that point and apparently that wasn’t!” Kristen told us when asked the writers ever give her something to say that’s just too much.

“It feels like it’s just in kind. We’re just continuing with all the goodness we’ve had before,” Kristin continued about the naughtiness to come. “I don’t know if you can get much worse than gash in a sundress, but we can certainly stay in the ballpark.”

I may have been more offended by the gash in a sundress line if I had know what the word meant at the time. Honestly calling Sookie any vulgar euphemism for a vagina just seemed appropriate after Episode 10.

LMAO, Knowing Pam from the books, and Pam from the show, I don’t see Gash in a Sundress as anything at all. Honestly, when coming from Pam I would probably accept anything. They stay true enough to the character that she always has a reason for saying anything she says, or she would not be saying it at all. I just wish that the friendship Pam and Sookie strike up in the book would translate better to the screen. I think that would open up so much more banter and Pamisms. Outside of the Sookie/Bill or Sookie/Eric fans, Pam is one of the most beloved characters in the books. KBVS has brought her to life in a way no other actress I can think of could, and I just wish that they would give us more, more, more.

What would be fun, and I know it would not exactly fit into the storyline, would be if Pam was able to help stop animal cruelty, in a very Pam way. Imagine the blood-thirsty Vamp Pam take out some hick who throws a bag of kittens into the river or something like that. It would be a cause close to KBVS’s heart, and I could see Pam making it really fun to watch at the same time.

I agree about the animal cause. They did it with the dog fighting and won an award? It could be after a scene where she’s really nasty and then show her softer side.
