Alan Ball’s “Banshee” Goes to Cinemax

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Alan Ball’s latest project, Banshee, has been picked up by Cinemax. The 10 episode series follows “a criminal who steps into the identity of the Banshee, Penn., where he continues his shady ways while being hunted by gangsters he crossed in his past.”

Busy, busy man! Remember that besides working on True Blood‘s fifth season, Ball has the hour long medical drama, Wichita, still in the works.

Over-night fan (almost literally) of the Sookie Stackhouse series since early 2008. Co-owner of True-Blood.net. Anxiously anticipating season 6.

I follow entertainment news pretty closely, but don’t remember hearing much about this one. I Loved 6 Ft Under, and as you all probably figured out, LOVE True Blood. I subscribe to Cinimax, and will most likely check the show out. Just don’t have an opinion either way yet weather it is going to be great, or if it will be one of those oops moves we all have to make along the path to a lifetime of mostly success. (For AB that is. Oops moments and moves make us humble, and in the end make us better at what we do.)
