Hey if they were burying Tara was she becoming a vampire or dead? Sookie didnt look upset, more like she was wondering if it will work? Or is it apart of faerie magic? Now i really can’t wait! Almost cruel to wait this long.

I think they were burying Debbie Pelt, not Tara, but it’s so freaking dark that I can’t be sure.

I agree with burying Debbie Pelt. In the books the body was taken care of by “Eric”.

Yes but it was the amnesiac Eric and in the show Sookie just regected him. I hope they stick to the book though.

I think if they were burying debbie it wouldnt be so close to the house, I think it was Tara getting turned into a vampire. I think Pam turns her cause the image of Pam in the clip looks like she’s sitting in Sookie’s kitchen.

        April 2, 2012 at 4:13 pm

But why would Sookie bury Debbie right in her backyard? Debbie’s pack, Alcide or other wolves will be able to sniff her out right to Sookie’s house eventually. I don’t think Sookie would be this dumb. I think the two vampires (Eric and Bill) get rid of Debbie, they dismember her and get rid of pieces, this way it is very difficult to impossible to track her. They are burying Tara and Pam there. They do show Pam in Sookie’s house wearing the same outfit as season 4 finale. She is sitting in the dining room chair looking down at the kitchen floor. I have a feeling that this is the moment when she remembers when she was made hence flashback. She just has that look on her face…

they definatly are not sticking to the books and i am 100 percent it is tara they are burying and sookie is concerned and tara will be a vamp luv it

I agree that Tara will probably be a vamp! I never watched the show until a week ago and I’ve watched all four seasons already, and ever since season 1 I knew Tara would make a great vampire, with Rutina Wesley’s style of acting. And who better than Pam to turn her since they absolutely hate each other? I can’t wait to see season 5. I was a little skeptical at first, with some of the extra cheesy love scenes, but love watching fantasy shows and anything about vampires and supernatural.

Well if u look closer Layfette is burying this body too….so must be tara!

      April 1, 2012 at 9:31 pm

Were they burying Tara or Debbie? If it were Debbie then Sookie would not be too upset. Can’t wait for the new season to start and for Deadlocked to be published.

      April 2, 2012 at 12:24 am

It is hard to say one has half of her head, the other one has no head. It is probably Debbie, but if it is Tara, even if Sookie repairs her head, it is not going to be the best bringing over.

Christopher Heyerdahl is the voiceover! He’s a good choice, he played the different Wraith characters and ‘Holling’ in Stargate Atlantis, another (human) character I can’t remember who was in an episode of Stargate SG1 and Jack the Ripper and a Bigfoot in Sanctuary – among many other roles.

Who is that helping sookie bury Debbie? It’s not Lafayette

    • Debbie

      April 2, 2012 at 11:37 am

If you watch it again you will see that Lafayette is wearing the same hooded jacket later in the clip.

It is Lafayette, they show him wearing those close in a clip at the end.

I have to say that I have been very disappointed with the last two seasons. I could not figure out why and now I know….way too many promos. When Ball and company were releasing all those promos during season 3 and 4, I got my hopes up and expectations based on assumptions were through the roof. Then when I saw the episodes, I felt dejected each week because there were too many storyline with not much happening (and such a waste of good talent). This promo, so late into when the new season begins, gives me hope. Rumor is, this is the season of the Authority and I can tell by the many “new” vampires.

As far as the promo, it is good, just enough to peak my interest without getting my hopes up; I am excited again like I was for season 2. There were two people digging graves, I think Lala and Sookie, so either they are burying both Jesus and Debbie or they are burying Tara and Debbie. I have a feeling that since they cannot do Bubba, that Tara will be the Bubba; as in she will come back wrong. I doubt they will do zombies and I do not think Sookie’s powers can heal. I also wonder will Jason be made into a vampire so he can be with Jessica, since he did not become a werepanther. I think Christopher Heyerdahl and Christopher Meloni might be top people in the Authority.

hmm. Sookie was screaming at the end of the trailer, and it looks like she as wearing the same jacket(?) as when she was burying (?)someone…maybe because whatever they buried rose from the ground and tried to attack her? lol idk. Can’t wait for the new season.

    • cym

      April 2, 2012 at 12:01 am

Looked at the trailer again and my theory is sookie and someone burying someone(?)—> went back inside her home to take a depressing shower( as the clip shows)—->goes back outside maybe the same night, or the night after with the same jacket and her hair now down to discover something/someone very startling. hmmm.

    April 2, 2012 at 2:09 am

So I am in agreement with pretty much everyone that has posted thus far. My question is lingering on who was helping Sookie bury whoever it was. (I am personally guessing Debbie, but I suppose it could be Tara. I would think that they would pick a better grave spot than her back yard, just outside the door. Especially since she literally lives with a grave yard between her and Bill’s place, but I digress…) From what I can gather between the promo and the season 4 season finale that Jason is a little busy at that point to help out. It didn’t look like the right build for LaLa or Alcide either. (Not to mention if it was Alcide, I would think he would be a little upset that Debbie was killed in whatever form.) It could possibly be Eric, but I would be surprised if he had the time with what he did to Nan and all. I am just so excited to see proof that they are making progress with the filming of the season. This proves to me that the wait really isn’t quite as long as it feels like it is. (I mean 2 months can’t possibly take 1000 years right?)

The figure helping her bury whoever it is just looks so tall to me, making me think it’s Eric.

It could also be Hoyt. He could be wearing his striped pjs.

Between 0:13 and 0:14 there is Lafayet with grim face, blue jacket and white hood so I think Lafayet is burying Tara and Sookie is burying Debbie.

Am I the only one wondering who Eric is kissing? It is Eric, isn´t it? But it sure ain´t Sookie…!

    • Izzy

      April 2, 2012 at 3:53 am

Yes, I think it’s Eric. He could be kissing Pam as one of the spoilers said that there would be a couple of flashbacks to when Eric made Pam so that fits.

      • Belle

        April 2, 2012 at 3:59 am

That would make sense but it just doesn’t look like Pam to me – maybe one of the new vampires?

        • Resa

          April 2, 2012 at 4:47 am

Read somewhere else that Eric is kissing his ‘sister’ Nora. I´m still voting for Sookie + Eric

    • Betty

      April 2, 2012 at 4:50 am

Absolutely, I was wondering who he was kissing myself. I just want him and Sookie together! Waaah! It doesn’t look like a flashback tho. And it doesn’t really look like Pam. I think I read that Eric had a vampire “sister” that would be in Season 5. It would be interesting to find out more about Eric’s past.

Oh, c’mon people! How many times have you watched the show? Eric in _those_ clothes? It _has_ to be Tara. My bet is that they’re burying Debbie, and no, I don’t think she is the one attacking Sookie after raising from the dead.

I’m more interested in the main plot for this season, is it really about the Authority? I’m a tad dissapointed it’s not about zombies.

    • Mel

      April 2, 2012 at 8:45 am

Uh, Danny, are you watching the right show? True Blood ain’t got no zombies, man!

The girl Eric is kissing is Nora or Salome not Sookie, Pam or Jessica, cus the girl in the video has dark brown hair it’s almost black and they have blonde light brown and red hair.

It all happens way too fast for me to make assumptions but it is just enough to get me stoked about June! Can’t wait!!!

  14. Laura

    April 2, 2012 at 9:28 am

At the beginning of the clip, I believe it is Sookie and probably Lafayette digging. But I also see another character in shadow on the right. By the outline, I would guess this to be Pam.

    April 2, 2012 at 9:32 am

I just can’t wait for the season too start. I did care for last season and was not excited about this season until they said chris melon was joing and then I was like YESSSS!!! can’t wait. So whatever they do I will be open to see, myself I can’t wait for the storyline of the Authority, tht is what I am most excited about. I don’t think they will have zombies leave that to the walking dead they do the zombies well. If they had zombies I would have to say “OK ok you got to much going on here get back to the vampires. I also want to say I love stephen moyer as bill. I have been a bill fan since seaon one, and somtimes I feel bill just does not get enough love, so to me bill will always be my # 1vampire. Now that is my two cents.

    April 2, 2012 at 9:58 am

    Awesome video!
Not sure how I feel about Eric and (what looks to be) Nora kissing…
But is that small clip of Pam of her in Sookie’s house? I saw a screen shot of it online, and it looks like it is.
Maybe since Eric is off with Bill and Nora, Pam turns to Sookie? There is a lot of tension between the two of them.

    • EricsMoll

      April 3, 2012 at 2:26 pm

Wouldn’t it be interesting (if not kinda cool) if this is what gets Pam n Sookie to be friends…..
after all they are in the books. Not exactly besties, but they are truly friends! – even some what confidants !

Which then in turn could start the Eric/Sookie relationship/marriage. Ohhhh one can only hope (n dream about those lovely nights with Eric).

  17. Laura

    April 2, 2012 at 9:59 am

Oops..never mind. The shadow figure I mentioned could actually be part of a fence. Sigh! Oh well, we’ll just have to wait and find out!

  18. Susanna

    April 2, 2012 at 10:37 am

At first I thought that Eric might be kissing Nora however, there is something familiar about that kiss!! I think it could be Sookie. Eric’s hair is dark as well in that shot and that looks like Sookie’s nose…plus, doesn’t Sookie always goes with her vampires on fights even when she doesn’t want to? Doesn’t Eric always reach out to Sookie to give her a victorious kiss in the books? Even though the show veers from the books, the writers still manage to write in the spirit of the characters….this would be a true Eric moment!!!!

    • esw45

      April 2, 2012 at 10:51 am

I believe its Nora he’s kissing…..he probably has a history with her and I think he believes that sookie is thru with him so he is moving on …..but he still loves sookie and she will have to come to him and say that she wants him if they ever get back together…which I believe they will eventually. I think Sookie and Lafeyette are burying Tara and Pam is around Sookies house if you look at one of the still up close, she probably jumps in the grave with Tara and turns her and then when sookie comes back to check the grave Tara is gone….Pam is Tara’s maker….it looks like that might be the case.

      • Elisha_Q

        April 2, 2012 at 12:03 pm

Pam maker of Tara – c’mon you must be kidding, that would be a huge favour for Sookie and Pam hates her.

        • esw45

          April 2, 2012 at 12:15 pm

I think it might happen ……look at the closeup still of Pam it looks like she is at Sookies house to me? What reason would she be there? It just fits that she turns Tara…..I could be wrong ….we will find out

          • Elisha_Q

            April 2, 2012 at 12:39 pm

If Eric orders her to protect Sookie, Pam can’t do much about it. I mean Russel is out there and Eric and bill have their problems with Authority who else to send. Pam might not like it but she can not cross the orders of her maker. In the books they had Bubba – Tara is totally going to be the equivalent of Bubba but since she is so brand new unable to control her-self and not really right in the head they cant use her to protect Sookie.

Not really much to look forward to. It really doesn’t matter who they’re burring because I dislike both characters (Tara and Debie). If their going to turn Tara into a vamp, than it’s more of a reason to skip this season. Eric and Bill, have to fight the authority. if newlin’s a vamp, I don’t think he’ll do anything lethal to jason or it could just be a dream, who knows. Arlene’s husband seems to look upset or possessed (yawn!). Sookie screaming, as always.

great way to be hospitable Mel. Everyone has their own opinion and I’m not the only one who thinks these clips are typically expected . It’s not surprising that sookie is burying a dead body, eric/bill are teaming up, jesica is moving on with someone else. Unless you forgot about season 4.

The show is always amazing, as everyone who frequents this website knows. And this website is one of (if not THE) best websites to share our love of this incredible show, and the books that it is based on. I don’t really understand the motives of why someone would seek out a fan site like this, and then trash it. Imagine taking that time out of your life just to be so negative. I think you handled that well, Mel. Too bad Clarisa doesn’t realize that she is the joke here.

  24. Mel

    April 2, 2012 at 10:17 pm

If you’ve read the books, then you know that a fair amount of time passes between when Sookie is with Amnesiac Eric and when they get together for real. And in the meantime, Sookie spends some time with both Alcide and Quinn. It’s part of the narrative arc.

    • Shelli

      April 3, 2012 at 1:08 am

      I only read books 4 & 5, I known she’s by herself in the 5th book,because Eric can’t remembered.
But Eric remembered on the show,(but think of it) Eric’s more like Sookie on the show than the books(I didn’t believe Bill stole his b/g), probably Nora thing would play as Quinn in the books.

      • Liz

        April 3, 2012 at 11:49 am

It’s too bad you already hate the show and its new season. You will never know what really happens will you? 😉

        • Mel

          April 3, 2012 at 3:57 pm

They are not killing Eric. Production would have been scheduled to accommodate Alex’s commitments to promote BATTLESHIP before filming began, so he either will have already filmed his scenes for the episode in production, or they’ll wait until he’s back to film them. This is standard practice in the industry.

But hey, if you no longer like True Blood, that’s your perogative as a viewer. Perhaps your time would be better spent commenting on fan sites for shows you do like.

  26. Natalie

Eric kissing Nora just make me uneasy. It will be okay, if she is just a random fangbanger, but they made her sort of someone special for Eric. It just sound so wrong. Call me book purist, i’d rather have him unattached than being with someone other than Sookie. Besides, he’s not supposed to be a ‘relationship’ kind of guy since he hate to have feelings.

when will it be shown in Australia?

  34. Jovi

    April 6, 2012 at 6:51 am

(from the perspective of an obsessed Truebie, having NEVER read the books)

First, I can’t wait for the return of Russell! Probably the coolest villain in the history of all fictional characters! And, seeing as we love villains in office and it’s an election year, Edgington for President… just sayin’.

Second, I really can’t stand reading all the haters yearning for the show to match precisely to all their expectations in regards to storyline and character development. To me, this would make the show predictable, TB is anything but. Maybe they should focus on shows they actually like – OR – go write their own.

Now for my speculative good stuff, I’m definitely on board with the idea that Sookie is burying a turned Tara with the help of Lafayette. Pam being Tara’s maker. Also, and I’m surprised it’s not been mentioned yet, does anybody else remember the Fairy flash that startled Sookie when Tara surprised her (S4 E2)? I’m thinking that maybe this was an early warning about Tara becoming a vampire that would “smell the sunshine in the pretty blond bottle” within Sookie and act accordingly to what we know of young vampires. Hmmm… maybe Tara is the one to steal Sookie’s “light”?

In regards to the romantic partner of Sookie, I don’t really care as long as there is one. Again, having never read the books, I’m still a fan of the Sookie/Bill affair. It didn’t really jive with me the whole “amnesiac Eric is so adorable” epidemic, he’s way more attractive acting like a 1,000 year old vampire than a 5 year old child. I enjoyed the storyline, but was glad when it ended. I’m not that big a fan of Alcide, as I think his character is too weak. Nobody that attractive and good should/would ever take a drugged out, cheating Debbie back. It made for good drama, but I’m hoping his character starts acting as tough as he looks. I have no idea who Quinn is, but I’m excited to meet this new character.

I laughed out loud when someone said “ewww” to Eric possibly making out with his vampire sister. Please note, vampire siblings are NOT the same as human siblings. Seeing as they were “made” not “born” from their Maker (not mom or dad). I think it’s funny, in a ridiculous kind of way, that people are already judging this as “vampire incest”. If that’s the case, wouldn’t we regard the romantic relationship between Russell and Talbot as parental child abuse? The same goes for the speculative relationship Pam and Eric shared when she was first turned. If you’re one of the people who thinks this is gross, then just remind yourself that they live in the South and that’s what they do there… please reference the werepanthers.

I am loving the Terry twist! Having seen the warning from Rene’s ghost last season, I simply cannot wait to find out what’s going to happen here. Obviously, this has something to do with the introduction of his war buddy, Patrick.

Finally, I am most excited to see what transpires with The Authority. For the last two seasons I’ve been curious as to when its anonymity would be unveiled, I’m thinking the time has come! I’m also thinking that the voice-over character is among this mysterious power group. Bring it on!

Ugh… this waiting has HUGE fangs!

Its not in the clip, but does anyone here hope that they find a way to incorporate Dracula Night into this season??? That short story was supposed to take place sometime between seasons 4 and 5 (ok books 4 and 5, but still) so it would be fun if they at least had an Authority party or something. That has been my favorite short story of them all, and would really love it if they worked it into the show, even if only a little bit. Reading all this disection of the trailer and such just makes me wonder that one. Am I alone here?
