SPOILERS: Scoop from the Red Carpet

True Blood cast members were throwing crumbs out for Truebie’s consumption at the premiere of the show’s fifth season, last night. Extra was there to sweep up for us.

Now that Sookie (Anna Paquin) has sworn off vampires Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), will she find comfort in the arms of werewolf Alcide?

Joe Manganiello, who plays the hunky wolf, told Renee, “According to the trailers, there may or may not be a romance brewing between Alcide and Sookie.”

Is Tara really dead? The actress who plays her, Rutina Wesley, revealed, “She’s coming back! And how she comes back is going to be very, very, very interesting.”

How about Bill and Eric, are they now friends? Skarsgard cryptically offered, “We don’t know yet.  We don’t know where we’re going to end up.”

OK, we get it… but please tell us there will be more nudity. Sam Trammell, who plays cutie shape shifter Sam Merlotte, said, “I have my clothes off a lot this year,” while Ryan Kwanten, aka Jason Stackhouse, replied, “Not from me, thank God.” Too bad.

Moyer added, “I think that every time we see what the new script is, we’re expecting to see some naked mud wrestling, but you’ll have to wait and see.”

“True Blood” fans are also excited about Moyer and Paquin’s real-life romance, especially now that Anna is expecting the couple’s first child.  Stephen said, “It’s amazing, but we’ve still got another month of work to go yet!” How are they working around the baby bump? Paquin replied, “Clever camera angles.”

I’m going back to thinking that Tara will not be turned vampire, though I admit that they’ve done a great job leading us to believe this way. We’ll see who’s right, me or Mel, on June 10th!

Over-night fan (almost literally) of the Sookie Stackhouse series since early 2008. Co-owner of True-Blood.net. Anxiously anticipating season 6.

Sorry Liz, I would be shocked based upon the clues from TV Guide to the casting calls that Tara is not turned…..you will have to get over the disappointment of this happening 🙂

I’m not even talking about disappointment if this happens. The True Blood showrunners are masters at leading us all down the wrong trails before a season starts. They’ve done it many, many times before. Don’t believe me? Just take a stroll down some of our old spoiler threads from past seasons and read what we and our readers have speculated, using the same kind of clues we are being handed now. Whether from Alan Ball, cast members, TV Guide or anyone else. After all, TV Guide only gets what Alan will throw to them. As a matter of fact, Mel just wrote an article on what we were all thinking last season would be like and what actually happened.

If Tara is turned – whatever, but I”m just saying that it is still possible that this won’t happen.

Yes its possible and your right Alan Ball loves playing games and leading down the incorrect path ……I would like to see Tara turned because she has been so unfulfilled as a human that maybe if she is turned she will have a connection with her maker that might fill a need that she has never had filled at point of her life. Pam if she is her maker that would be good for her to have that connection that is lacking in her life and she needs to have something that is hers alone seperate from Eric.

Liz, could you link us to this article? I’ve tried searching for it on this site and can’t find anything… it sounds like a fun read! 🙂

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I meant the article you mentioned here: “As a matter of fact, Mel just wrote an article on what we were all thinking last season would be like and what actually happened.”

Or maybe Tara comes back as a ghost as Lafayette can communicate with them. Or maybe Tara possesses him!

Think Sookie will save Tara with her fairy powers

I think it will be really stupid if she comes back as a ghost, they have Lafayette for that. I’m sure alfre Woodard will come back to help Lafayette get control over his craft. I can’t think of what else could happen to Tara, some sort of fairy intervention? Where is the whole Andy/fairy story line going to go?

If Tara is not turned into a zombie, someone will be. They alluded to zombies a few times last season. It better not be a red herring!!

Maybe Hoyt will? Jason calls him Bubba and if you have read the books, you know who bubba is.

Alan Ball has said many times, no zombies.

i keep reading about Tara being ‘turned’…i’m just wondering who is going to do it. Bill and Eric are going to be netted by the Authority guards. I read a quote from Alan Ball this morning and he stated that ‘Bill and Eric are not going to be there to help. Sookie’s going to have to figure this out all on her own’…with that in mind, i’m wondering-who the heck is going to save Tara!

Aqh45, I am pretty sure its Pam that does it …..now why is the question? We would have to guess because Eric loves Sookie is why she would do it ….like making amends to him for shooting the rocket launcher at her last season?

All clues point to Pam turning Tara. I remember the promo of Pam sitting in Sookie house crying. It breaks my heart that Eric has been so cold to Pam. I’m not a Eric and Sookie fan anyway. Sookie makes Eric weak and I don’t like weak Eric. Anyway, I also believe Pam and Tara will have sex.
