Unlock the True Blood Comic-Con Trailer

Each year at the True Blood panel at Comic Con, Alan Ball unveils a special Comic Con-exclusive reel showing what has passed and what’s to come the rest of the season. This year, HBO reaches out to the fans who couldn’t be there with a very special opportunity to see the brand new trailer.

Beginning today, July 14, HBO Connect will give True Blood fans the opportunity to “flock to unlock” the exclusive Comic-Con trailer. If fans tweet #sdcctruebie 150,000 times, HBO will unlock the trailer on HBO Connect. It’s time for Truebies to rally! Set your alarms to get up early on your Saturday morning and flex those nimble fingers. Tweet like little birdies and get that trailer unlocked!

Janina Gavankar (“Luna” from True Blood) will take to the floor at Comic-Con in search of “Truebies,” tweeting her interactions with fans of the show including photo ops and giveaways at

HBO will live-tweet throughout the True Blood panel in Ballroom 20 from @truebloodhbo providing a play by play for fans. Panelists include: Alan Ball, (creator and executive producer), Kristin Bauer van Straten (Pam Swynford de Beaufort), Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette Reynolds), Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse), Joe Manganiello (Alcide Herveaux), Christopher Meloni (Roman Zimojic), Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton), Anna Paquin (Sookie Stackhouse), Alexander Skarsgard (Eric Northman), Sam Trammell (Sam Merlotte), Rutina Wesley (Tara Thornton) and Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica Hamby). Mel will be tweeting her little heart out as well throughout the panel, because we promised you all that we would make this experience as real for you as it is for us.

All events will be archived at HBO Connect so you can follow along in your own time from your computer or mobile device.
