A Moment with True Blood Set Designer Suzuki Ingerslev

I had the pleasure of meeting True Blood set designer Suzuki Ingerslev in San Diego while I was attending Comic Con. It was one of the most interesting conversations I had that weekend. Suzuki took the time to answer all my questions, and believe me, I had many. I particularly wanted to pick her brain on what went into designing not just the various sets from this season, but how each one set the tone and feel for the scenes they were featured in.

I was also very curious about the process that goes on when the crew needs to film a scene inside someone’s house. So I asked the question, if Alan Ball were looking for a house to use in a scene for the season, and I had the perfect one, what happens after I say ‘yes’?

Suzuki pointed out some very interesting facts about the Authority’s “house of worship” as it were. And more little known facts surrounding the Fairy night club, Hot Wings, were discussed. Watch Suzuki Ingerslev, from San Diego Comic Con, in this video.

Over-night fan (almost literally) of the Sookie Stackhouse series since early 2008. Co-owner of True-Blood.net. Anxiously anticipating season 6.
