True Blood Halloween: 3 Ways to Dress Up as Jason Stackhouse

Guys, are you still on the hunt for a costume to wear to that awesome Halloween party? How about going as renowned ladies man Jason Stackhouse? In the five seasons of True Blood, Jason’s wardrobe has changed more than almost any other character. Here are three ideas for recreating them for yourself.

Boyish Charm: For the first couple of seasons, Jason basically got into trouble with women. When he was wearing clothes, it was a pair of well-worn jeans and a t-shirt like this one from Bon Temps High School coupled with some beat up old boots. Add a winning smile and an air of confusion, and you’ve got yourself a costume.

Responsible Deputy: Jason finally found a purpose in life when he discovered that “sheriffin'” was something he enjoyed and could do well. Tan slacks and a shirt, a belt and a Renard Parish badge, and some brown cowboy boots pull this look together. Just leave the gun at home.

Flashback Boy: In season 5, Jason had a dream/hallucination about a childhood Christmas that included adult Jason wearing He-man pajamas. This begs to be recreated for Halloween! The pajamas were built especially for that episode, but if you (or someone you know) is handy with a needle and thread, you can make your own. You’ll need a pair of blue adult footie pajamasred adult footie pajamas and a He-man sheet – check Goodwill, yard sales, mom’s attic, ask your friends.  Cut the collar and cuffs off both pairs of pajamas and sew the red ones onto the blue pajamas to create the ringer look. Next, cut out a piece of the sheet with He-man featured prominently and sew to the shirt front portion of the pajamas. For the finishing touch, cut a hole for your big toe.
