SPOILERS: True Blood Season 6 Casting “Liberal Activist”

By  |  2 Comments

Fresh casting news for True Blood season 6 emerged late today: producers are casting “Nicole Jannsen”, an idealist in her 20s who is a leader of a group of well-meaning liberal advocates. According to Zap2It, who broke the story, Nicole will be a series regular when True Blood returns in June 2013.

Described as a “do-gooder to the core” Nicole is naive, optimistic, and charming — but her idealism is “ultimately vaguely idiotic and dangerous.” Allegedly she doesn’t have a secret agenda, but I’ll believe that when I see it. “A true bleeding heart,” she is “not at all concerned with money; she’s concerned with the common good and doing what’s right … Life hasn’t beaten her down yet.” The casting call also suggests that she went to Bryn Mawr College and drives an old Saab.

What do you think the issues are that she’s working for? Who would you cast in the role?

I am leaning towards she will be working with the authority or Billith who is the authority right now or with the shifters coming out to the public …..probably more towards billith is my best guess.

I’m thinking it’s going to be commentary on the 99% movement. She will most likely take up a supernatural cause and get herself and her followers in trouble for it.
