AFTER DEAD Synopsis Released

After Dead, the “coda” to the Sookie Stackhouse novels that’s due out at the end of October, has an official synopsis! This just went up on Amazon today, revealing a little more of what Charlaine Harris has in mind for the final wrap up to the series.

Dead Ever After marked the end of the Sookie Stackhouse novels—a series that garnered millions of fans and spawned the hit HBO television show True Blood. It also stoked a hunger that will never die…a hunger to know what happened next.

With characters arranged alphabetically—from the Ancient Pythoness to Bethany Zanelli—bestselling author Charlaine Harris takes fans into the future of their favorite residents of Bon Temps and environs. You’ll learn how Michele and Jason’s marriage fared, what happened to Sookie’s cousin Hunter, and whether Tara and JB’s twins grew up to be solid citizens.

This coda provides the answers to your lingering questions—including details of Sookie’s own happily-ever-after…

So it sounds like this is a sort of encyclopedic summary of what happens to various characters, including Sookie, following the events of Dead Ever After.  After Dead goes on sale October 29, 2013, but can be pre-ordered now.

Thanks for that. The list of characters we know make it to the end is getting gradually longer. Now we have Sookie, Eric, Sam, Pam, Bill (not 100% positive on him as only mentioned in IIHAH not seen), Quinn and now Jason and Michele. I’m still hoping everyone makes it out alive or undead 🙂

      Agreed. 🙂
I was actually a little afraid that Sookie might die… (Just what my mind concluded after examining the cover for the last book) …so, yeah, this makes me feel a little better. I can’t wait to read the finale to all of this; it’s going to be sad, but not having to torture myself for a year to find out what happens next will be great.
(And I’ll have the time -and addictive need- to dive into some more of Harris’ other tales.)

I am sure I will get the end of the series remorse so this is a nice surprise. I always love when movies do a wrap up of the characters future in the credits.
