One of my favorites is Dead to the World I loved Eric in it. In a perfect world that would be Eric but they are not in a perfect world and his memory returned. I believe as much as they are able to Eric and Bill both love Sookie but I have always felt Bill and Sookie were meant for each other.

I would have to say the fourth book, “Dead to the World” where sexy Eric has amnesia and the relationship he and Sookie develop. He stayed to his true character despite his amnesia, being the strong Viking he is develops his love for Sookie and giving her a sexy nickname “Lover.” It when we really see nothing is “perfect” in Sookie’s world even her love life and lives of her friends around her and how they cope with their imperfect world. I love the series and will read over and over.. It is one of the BEST series I have ever read.

Living Dead in Dallas is my favorite. Because I live in Dallas and it assumed me to no end that much of the book involved my city. In truth I love every book, but this one seemed to be the one where Sookie’s world really grew and alot of new characters were revealed in depth.

Living Dead in Dallas is my fav of the ones I’ve read, because that is the one season 2 is based off of, and that’s my favorite. I’ve only read 4 though, so I have a lot of catching up to do! πŸ™‚

I love the book that started it all, Dead until Dark. While I have not completely caught up where the series is yet, the first book lays out the scene. I love the characters then and still love them now (the ones who have survived, that is)

This may shock y’all, but I have never read any of the books. I missed the first 2 seasons of the series until a colleague told me about it. I’ve been hooked ever since. So, I reckon my favorite book would be the first book. The one that starts it all and hooks everyone. Yup. That is my pick!

My favorite Sookie book was All Together Dead. I LOVED LOVED LOVED the idea of the summit and the things that were being sold at the summit (seriously wished that had’ve been written into the show). I liked the background information that Sookie got on Quinn and what made him do the things he did … I liked the fact that Sookie and Barry were able to get the info out about the Fellowship of the Sun’s bombs and get most out safely. And, as always, I absolutely loved Eric Northman and everything he did (even the things that make him a jerk sometimes, LOL).

I can’t just choose just one. I love all of them!!! My sister put them on my e-reader for me and when I read them I play the book in my head with the characters from the true blood seasons. I’m about to start reading them again so by the time the last book comes out I can get it. I want all the original books though.

It is so hard to pick one favorite book from the series. I have a tie between From Dead to Worse and Dead and Gone. I loved the vampire political takeover of Louisiana by King Felipe and Victor Madden in From Dead to Worse. But I also loved the mix of the fairy war, Eric and Sookie getting married and hooking up again (after his memory comes back) in Dead and Gone. Those were my top 2 but if I must choose, then Dead and Gone is my favorite.

Live In Dallas Is One Of My Favorites. I Love Eric, And It gave A Little More Insite To His Character. Plus It Gives Us A Little Peak Of Eric And Sookie. He Is The Bad Boy That Every Woman Needs.

I enjoyed Club Dead. Besides being the true “Turing point in True Blood” it is the point from which the series and the books diverged. I feel that the book was very well written and the plot was very suspenseful.

My favorite Sookie Book would have to be Dead to the World (book4) because thats the book where Sookie and Eric first get together. And the shower seen is HOT!! Plus she has to deal with the struggle of hiding Eric while looking for Jason who has been kidnapped.

I have only read the first 4 novels but I have to say book one Dead Until Dark has been my favorite thus far! πŸ™‚ I love the introduction of Sookie Stackhouse and what her future May bring! I can not wait to continue reading the rest of these books! One thing is for sure these books are very well written. Also the descriptions of the characters feel so real! That is why I can truly say I have not been disappointed at all! The twists and turns and great characters keep me wanting more!

My favorite sookie book was by far the first book, Dead Until Dark. This was her first encounter with vampires and more importantly Bill. It was also my first encounter with all the amazing characters. I’ve read the entire series (the first 12) twice and I cannot wait for the 13th novel. It’s a series I will read over and over again. I’m sad to see it end!!!’

If I am going to be honest, I have only read the first book, Dead Until Dark. But, I am an avid Truebie. So, I must say that Sookie novel number #1 is my favorite. I love that it is so similar to Season 1 of True Blood. Being introduced to all the characters & Harris’ supernatural world & Bon Temps was a thrill. I would love to win all 13 novels so I can complete the series! Xo

I absolutely loved all of the books! there is no way I can choose just one! But my absolute favorite part out the entire book series so far was from the third book, Club Dead when Sookie took Eric to that party and the way Eric was dressed and acted was just hilarious and I wish they would have done it that way in the show. Imagining Alexander Skarsgard dressed that way….it cracks me up every time!

    April 30, 2013 at 7:42 pm

I don’t know if I could choose just one, I’ve loved and enjoyed them all. But if I have to pick one I would go with the first book in the series. Opening up a world and platform that was not only fun but sexy.

Dead and Gone was my favorite. I liked finding out what happened when all the shifters and were’s did the big reveal. I liked how Eric was so smart that he was the only sheriff left in his position after the King of Nevada took over. The fairy war was the best part though!

I’m not sure how anyone can pick just one but, Dead and Gone is my one of my top picks. I really like the Eric Sookie combination and seeing her interact with Niall.
