SPOILERS: True Blood Episode 6.07 Takes Us Back In Time

By  |  24 Comments

The latest casting call for True Blood season 6 is out, and reveals that fans will witness another flashback.

Episode 6.07, titled “The Funeral”, will feature a flashback to 1665 England during the Plague. The show is casting King Charles II for the scene, which makes us wonder what vampires might have to do with the illness that killed thousands.

Producers are also casting Nicole’s mother, Mary, for two or more episodes. Nicole, played by Jurnee Smollett, is the activist who gets mixed up in the vampire rights movement. What do you want to bet her activism is the result of something that happened to her mother?

And, of course, whose funeral is the title referring to?

We’ll be well deep into the system by this point so it could refer to anyone. That said, my gut is telling me it’s Bill…

They could have a ceremonial funeral for Bill, or this episode could be the end of Billith, but I don’t think Stephen Moyer is leaving the show. Or, this being True Blood, it could be any one of a hundred other characters!

Sources are said to be speculating that the death is Eric. It is speculated that Skarsgard is leaving the show. If so I would say the show wi last one more season and then be cancelled.

Enough with the death of Eric rumors already! They are unfounded and started by someone who was looking for eyeballs on his website – that it all. And there are always rumors going around about Alexander Skarsgard because he is a hot news ticket.

Sadly it is Eric that dies.

        Nope, it’s not Eric.

That’s a good bet about Bill or Billith having something to do with an illness happening today. In 1665 though Bill was not born yet so the vampire involved in that would be probably Eric or this new Vampire Violet who I believe is 600 years old might be her.

Could it be that vampires may have SAVED humans? Violet could have been turned in that era. As for the funeral, how about Sookie’s parents, via flashback?

Warlow could be involved in the flashback if they are going to give him some back-story?

I don’t think it will be Bill’s funeral – he is one of the 3 show leads, Bill won’t be leaving us any time soon.

The only way I could stretch that the funeral has anything to do with Bill is if they hold a funeral for Bill because he is all Billyth now. 1665 leads me to think the Warlow idea makes sense. Good suggestion Sookieleena.

May I add, as it is on the page. You might want to check what suggested posts are listed on here. I realize that these are ads for other sites a lot of the time, but “Down Syndrome Porn” just seems like it is not something that your sight wants to be aligned with.

Thanks for the head’s up on the ads, Bethany. All ads for adult sites are supposed to be blocked, but sometimes something slips through our filters. I haven’t seen that ad (people are served ads based on various factors), but we’ll definitely look into it.

Nice, my reply doesn’t exist. Hmmmm, hope you got the note about the poor choice of ads on here.

For some reason i feel that the flashback to 1665 has to do with Nora. We were introduced to her last season, so i think the show will start to dig deeper into her history and how she met up with Eric and Godric.

Yes It seems like it’s nora eric …flashback..
I think it is 600 hundred of years plus violet.

In the books the one turned around that time would be Pam since Eric was born a long, long time ago and Bill was made vampire after the civil war.

But this is the TV series, and the story here is that Pam was turned in 1905, so this flashback isn’t about her.

Is Alexander skarsgard leaving the show in this episode?

No. Rumors of Eric Northman’s death are unfounded.

My mom and I watch the show, and she recalls reading somewhere that you would be learning more about Eric’s back story this season. So, although people are saying Eric’s death is simply a rumor, it is actually quite possible!

I don’t see how those two are connected. And we already got Eric’s back story.

I actually think it’s Skarsgard’s death… however- I say however, because he has mentioned he’s in the last two episodes. Now, with that being said– one of two things A) Bill/Nora/Pam/Tara could be leaving the show—- ORRRRRRRRRRRRRR B) Skarsgard’s MESSING WITH EVERYONE and his “True Death” is coming this season. (quite frankly, it’s probably this one because he’s been known to mess with people). The poster is quite disturbing and I’ve actually said all along the face in the poster is Eric or Jason.

I’m new to this site, but here is my 2 cents.
I looked at IMDB.com. Looked up all the main characters and asked myself, ‘who has the most work (movies) coming out in 2014?’
    It’s BILL (Stephen Moyer).
    Thoughts??

Thanks to a longer than usual hiatus between filming, due to Anna’s maternity leave, most of the cast were able to do more projects between seasons 5 and 6 which will be released later this year and into 2014. And now that filming has wrapped on season 6, they’re preparing to work on projects before filming begins on season 7.

Isn’t it strange that in one of the photos (the trailer) that Eric is standing on a rock cliff and it looks like Godric to the left of him (it looked like it was daytime too). Maybe Godric came back to see him through.
I know that it’s all speculation about who dies, I just found that picture very intriguing.
