True Blood Fashion: Sookie Goes for a Walk

The True Blood Fashion Q & A is back! Costume Designer Audrey Fisher is answering your questions about items worn by the characters in True Blood season 6, beginning with what Sookie wore to go for a walk in the woods.

Q.  I really want to know about Sookie’s hoodie in last nights episode! It’s purple with lace and she was wearing when she was talking with Ben. Let me know what you think! Thanks ladies! ~ Emilee

A. Audrey layered a patterned light purple hoodie from Aeropostale with a darker purple denim jacket from J Brand to give Sookie a little extra coverage as she walked to work on a November afternoon. The white t-shirt is, of course, her Merlotte’s tee.

Q. In episode 6.02 that aired 6/23/13, Sookie is walking to work when she stumbles across Ben in the woods. I loved the boots she was wearing in that scene. Any idea who makes them? ~ Emily

A. Sookie’s rugged yet adorable footwear are the Taylor Short Boots by FRYE. Audrey bought them in cognac, which doesn’t appear to be available right now, but could very well be reintroduced again soon. If you really love that color, the Carson Tab Short is a gorgeous alternative without the stacked heel. Might be easier to run from vampires obsessed with your family, too.
