VIDEOS: Watch 2 Sneak Peeks From “F**k the Pain Away”

By  |  29 Comments

A new episode of True Blood is just days away, which means it’s time for some sneak peeks! HBO is sharing 2 clips from Sunday’s episode, “F**k the Pain Away”, including the moments following last week’s final scene when Sookie surprised Ben, plus Jess goes to Jason for help.

Poor Jess. That’s not a pleasant revelation to have.

Sookie has been great this season….strong, independent and handling her own stuff but I would hope that she would never have anything to do with Warlow in a romantic way after all the people in her family that he has killed or hurt! Even if we find out he didn’t kill the parents..which is a possibility, he is not a good romantic choice in any way possible. I hope they don’t mess her up, because I am loving her this season!

I think Sookie and Warlow are destiny to be together, they have great chemistry, and he is so sweet, best thing that have happened to true blood after Eric Northman. I am an Eric/sookie fan, but at this point I think the producers will not go that route, so I prefer she ends up with somebody new, and Warlow is perfect. I think however, that at the end, he will spare bill’s life because he realized that Bill’s is Sookies true love and then he will go away. Anyway, I am loving this season.

I don’t think Eric and Sookie are done and Warlow has killed a large portion of her family? ?? I don’t understand anybody that believes that a romance can happen with those factors hanging over it and would want it to happen if you are a sookie fan.. I love Eric but I am a Sookie fan and I wouldn’t want her with someone that is crazy and unstable like Warlow is which we will see by the finale….

I’m so conflicted. Loving the new Sookie. Ben/Warlow only became sexy to me once I heard his accent (lol) but it’s creepy yet oddly romantic the situation with her and Warlow. I kind of like the whole destined to be together but hate that he has killed so much of her family, especially her parents. Hopefully the writers will do this storyline justice.

I am 100 bajillion percent team Warlow.
He is the ultimate expression of bi-polar shatbit crazy. Introducing him as a love interest for Sookie made the TV series move way in the direction of Nosferatu on the vampire scale. Twilight being the other extreme, which is an abomination to all things vampire, BTW.
If she ends up with Eric or Bill then the show will most definitely swing back toward the Twilight end of things.
    Please don’t do that.

Warlow will be dead in the finale probably against Billith…. so I guess by your estimation then True Blood will be the Twilight series but Eric,Bill and Sookie has been and are the show and majority of the fans like it this way. I don’t get the Team Warlow stuff because even if he didn’t kill her parents he has killed most of her fairy family and recently her fairy cousins for no apprent reason except i guess he was hungry? So he is not a great character to me

Her “fairy cousins”? Do you mean Andy’s daughters? They’re related to Bill, not Sookie.

Warlow is definitely an interesting character, and I’m enjoying figuring him out, but a romance with Sookie? I’ll need to see some really good reasons for Sookie to overlook his violent past – and present- to be on board with that.

No Mel I mean Sookie’s fairies cousins like Claude and Claudette that were hurt or killed by Warlow a day or so ago not to mention Killing Niall whole village centuries ago which were also related to her as well. I don’t see a romance between Sookie and Warlow or hope I don’t see one like some of these responses that I see on here…it would be counter productivefor her character growth that I am loving this season

        • Mel

          July 13, 2013 at 3:51 pm

Ah! But they’re not actually related either, are they? Claudine was Sookie’s fairy godmother, but they weren’t blood relations.

At any rate, relatives or not, Warlow has killed indiscriminately and that’s certainly not something I see Sookie having on her wish list for a life partner.

Mel, you’re correct for the TV series. Claude was Sookie’s cousin in the books.

My reason for liking Warlow, and the entire vampire genre, is because these are creatures who are the ultimate peak in the food chain. They are ruthless killers who, once again in my opinion, are totally unable to experience love. They can feel a facsimile of love, but only the pain resulting from loving someone.
The only pleasure that they really feel is when feeding, and it’s a sexual pleasure similar to BDSM. Pain is pleasure.
Ordinary romantic love doesn’t make sense for a vampire.
          All my opinion.

I understand better Joseph from your clarafication but we have Warlow in this clip saying that he loves Sookie to I say you have been around her what 2 or 3 times at most? How do you love someone you don’t know and you have a contract of ownership? So a vampire high on the food chain like Warlow is because he is a day walker, the ultimate in a vampire…. which I agree he is…. but still according to him he is not above loving someone even though I think it’s crazy because his history of killing relatives and friends are horrible. In my opinion Vampires can love because they can have some humanity traits without being a human anymore….because at base level they want to be desired and wanted like humans and other supes….yes they are turned on by the act of feeding but Eric and Bill compton loved Sookie for who she is and like being with her and how they feel being around her.

            “Pain is pleasure.”

It’s not that simple (just saying), pleasure is a reward, sometimes for pain.
            @esw45
“How do you love someone you don’t know and you have a contract of ownership?”

Well, if you think back they all fell in love with Sookie very fast, without really knowing her. The contract thing cracked me up, that is very BDSM. (just as a very random side note)
Everybody’s constantly referring to Warlow and how many people / fae he killed, and that’s the reason there can never be anything between him and Sook? We don’t know why he killed her parents, if we excuse Jessica draining Andy’s kids we have to do the same with Warlow killing Niall’s family (you know, the whole young Vampire simply lost control thing), we don’t even know if he killed the fae at Hot Wings, not for sure, we just assume it. How many people do you think Bill killed? He was send by Sophie-Ann, betrayed and tricked Sookie, and she still had (has?) feelings for him. Eric killed her faery godmother, tricked her, there’s definitely still some kind of affection between them. I wouldn’t dismiss the possibility just yet.

The predilection for killing is one reason I don’t think Bill or Eric or any vampire is right for Sookie.

Maybe Sookie is the reincarnation of Warlows true love. Aka bram stokers Dracula. Just a random thought…

      July 14, 2013 at 12:51 am

Interesting thought. They already borrowed the hybrid idea ….
But that would mean Warlow knew the first fae-bearing female in the Stackhouse family would be, can he see the future too?

        July 14, 2013 at 1:51 am

I just think this whole story (season) is the fruition of lilliths bible, book of revelations. Warlow just knows things because he is one of the original fae and vampire. Maybe the “bridge” between good and evil…hence you always see him on a bridge

        • Madeleine

          July 14, 2013 at 3:08 am

It’s a big difference between “knowing things” and knowing specific details in advance.
He didn’t just meet Sookie by chance, realized she was the reincarnation and as a result would try to get her, he made a contract with one of Sook’s ancestors, a member of a certain family, although there might have been / are other families with royal fae blood. Niall’s off-spring might have procreated with other humans, and we don’t know if his line is the only royal line. Queen Mab’s line would be fae royalty as well. And who knows, maybe there are more and we just haven’t met them yet.
So, that would be a hell of foresight to pick Sookie decades before she was born (if reincarnation was the decisive factor).

I am just sorta thinking out loud, about reincarnation thing. it’s super hard to theorize anything when talking about the fairies, they are a total mystery on this show. All I can surmise is that the Sookie and warlow union are key figures in the book of lillith, hence the destiny talk…?

“I am just sorta thinking out loud,”

Same here 😉 it’s part of the fun. There’s always stuff supporting this are that, you can look at all the bits and pieces we’re fed from different angles, and not seldom when question is finally answered two more pop up.

“All I can surmise is that the Sookie and warlow union are key figures in the book of lillith, hence the destiny talk…?”
Well, Warlow and his coming into existence I can see, but why would a part fae turn up in a Vampire bible? As his mate? The beginning of a new breed? Does that have impact on Vampires? As a species?
A prophecy of the Vampire bible – any bible – coming true feels awkward to me, considering the show.

Since I’m on a thinking kick, I don’t understand why 1/4 fairy Sookie ages in a normal human way, and 1/2 fairies like Andy’s age rapidly, while all other fairies ( cause they r living in another dimension.?) age super slowly. Wtf, insights ?

      • Madeleine

        July 14, 2013 at 1:12 am

I think Sookie ages at a normal rate because the fae in her is so watered down by multiple generations of humans. Direct descendants like Andy’s kids grow up faster, they mature physically, but I expect them to stop once they reached adulthood and live longer. It sounds like a contradiction, but the light in the fae is a certain kind of power (a force of nature? a connection to it?), it could be responsible for both. Growing up fast, coming of age in a small amount of time is necessary for the survival of their race – so it might be some kind of evolution.
But now that you mention it, humans and Vampires were created by God, what about the fae? Are they aliens? I think it was season two, when Bill told Sookie what she was and she voiced that thought, I don’t recall the origin of the fae being mentioned afterwards.

I think Sookie’s blood is somehow the key to saving the vampires. In the first few episodes, Niall is constantly saying she is the link, the key… her blood is royal. Wondering if the Dr. can’t synthesize 1/2 bloods, but maybe Sookie’s he can? (thinking out loud) 🙂
