By  |  7 Comments

We’ve updated the True Blood season 6 music page with songs from episode 6.09, “Life Matters”, including the title song which was performed by True Blood composer Nathan Barr and Tara Buck’s (Ginger) husband Chris Pierce. Click here to see.

Updated 08.12.13: We checked in with both Nathan Barr (composer for True Blood) and Gary Calamar (the show’s music supervisor), and as of now there are no plans to release “Life Matters” as a single for download. If that should change, we’ll let you know.

That song – Life Matters – in tonight’s episode of True Blood was absolutely amazing. If there is any way to buy a copy, or download it, or whatever process I need to go through, I’d like to get it. In the show, it was sung by Big John W. Godley.

Please make that song available. When I heard it, it reminded me of old time gosple and it is a very good message for this world.

    Far away in another life
    I walked my land
    Proud and free
    Far away
    from my other life…
    Far away home
Far away in those distant lands…
    There the hunt
leaves no blood on my hands
    There I would roam
    My faraway home..
But they don’t know the pain in me…
    ‘Cause they can’t know
    what I can see…
    I’m surrounded
    by a misery
    I’d like to be…
    I’d like to be
    Far away home.
