More Sam Trammell news! He’s just signed on for the part of the lead character’s father in The Fault in Our Stars. According to TheWrap.com, the story follows two cancer-stricken teens who strike up a romantic relationship as they face an uncertain future. Shaileen Woodley plays Sam’s daughter who is one of the cancer patients.

The Fault in Our Stars is based on the best-selling novel by John Green, and will be directed by Josh Boone (“Stuck In Love”). Casting is still in progress so no premiere date has been set but we’ll keep you posted.

Over-night fan (almost literally) of the Sookie Stackhouse series since early 2008. Co-owner of True-Blood.net. Anxiously anticipating season 6.

Sam is my favorite character in True Blood. I’m disappointed his storyline sucked in the last 2 seasons though. Seasons 3 and 4 were good because of his bromance with his brother. I’m really hoping he’ll be a lot more significant in season 7.
