‘Tis the season for True Blood alumni to land new gigs! With the final episode wrapped and the sets dismantled, the cast and creative team of True Blood are busy booking their next jobs. We already mentioned Deborah Ann Woll joining the Daredevil series and Rutina Wesley’s role in The  Perfect Man; here’s a trio of terrific men and what they’re doing next:

  • Nelsan Ellis joined jazz biopic Bolden as Bartley, “the wily entrepreneur who manages the Bolden Band” [via The Wrap];
  • Chris Bauer heads to the stage to co-star in Mamet’s Race, running August 31-September 28 at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in LA [via Center Theatre Group];
  • Alan Ball is teaming up with Sir Elton John and David Furnish to produce a new pilot for HBO, tentatively titled Virtuoso, centered around young musicians in an elite academy in Vienna circa 1790 [via Showbiz 411]
