Inception
« on: July 20, 2010, 09:34:54 PM »
I just went and saw Inception and I LOVED it! It's such a great movie, the acting as well as the special effects were great. However, at the very ending when Cobb is in his house and he spins his totem and it keeps spinning does that mean that reality was really well.....not real?? I noticed it wobbled at the end and I was thinking that it might have just fallen after the screen went black but now I'm not so sure. It's bothering me! Anyone else want to put their two cents in?

I only went to see it because I'm a big Joseph Gordon-Lewit fan. Wasn't really expecting to leave the cinema thinking it was brilliant!!  I loved the way they ended it like that! You can make your own mind up as to what happened. I reckon his totem fell over. :D

My, I actually just saw this today, with pals - It was quite brilliant. In a mind-boggling way, really well crafted. Loved the whole ide about the dream worls collapsing, and the cinematography and effects, with the explosions were great. Loved the way some balance was brought near the end, as it was revealed Dom Cobb put the memory into his own wife's mind, and that caused her to be convinced in real life she had to kill herself to wake up. And also it being revealed that the scenes we saw near the beginning were Cobb in Limbo with an aged Saito. Cringed a bit when Michael Caine came on, though - not really a fan of his.

Also like how they left the mystery open as to whether he was dreaming or not  with the totem still spinning.

Went to see it last week and really enjoyed it.  Would definately buy on DVD.  Not one to watch if you don't want to concentrate to keep track of what's happening.

I liked the ending, I think it's really just up to you to decide whether the totem topples or keeps spinning.

Haven't seen this yet but am looking forward to doing so!
I've heard nothing but good reviews for it, and I too love Joseph-Gordon Levitt. :)
