Evan Rachel Wood Crowned Queen

If you listen to True-Blood.net Radio, you know we were tossing around another name for the role of Sophie-Anne, but we’re ready to admit that we’ve just been schooled by Alan Ball. EW.com has confirmed that Evan Rachel Wood (The Wrestler) has landed the role of Sophie-Anne, Queen of Louisiana. Brilliant!

Wood will appear in two episodes toward the end of season 2, then play a larger role in the third season we just know HBO will greenlight. And just who is Sophie-Anne? She’s a 500-year-old vampire from France who is charming, wily, ruthless and wise. She’s a consummate diplomat who’s interacted with many of history’s famous people and held enormous power, despite looking like the teenager she was when she was turned.
