Eric’s Power Play: “If I Want Sookie, I Can Simply Take Her”

WARNING: Spoilers ahead for True Blood season 2 episode 2, “Keep This Party Going”. Don’t read any further if you don’t want to be spoiled!

Let the games begin. Eric wants Sookie to do his bidding but Bill objects. Despite the scene taking place while Bill shops at the mall, it gave us goosebumps. As did Lafayette’s plea to be turned to a vampire. Will it happen? Will Lafayette become a vampire? And is this the beginning of the Eric/Sookie storyline so many fans have been clamoring for?

Or were you more interested in the vortex surrounding Maryann? Poor Sam. An orgy breaks out at Merlotte’s and he is helpless to stop it. Poor Tara. Perhaps she didn’t want to know more about Eggs. Just what is Maryann up to with all of this, anyway? Did you notice the eyes of the patrons at Merlotte’s while her spell was working?

And of course, we have Sookie getting herself in more trouble. Is this show trying to cause mass heart attacks with its endings?
