Michael Raymond-James Stars in New Show on FX
True Blood season 1 villain Michael Raymond-James started working on Terriers more than a year ago. FX picked up the series, but wanted to have several episodes in the can before premiering it. It’s finally hitting the small screen September 8, and Mikey Ray joined co-star Donal Logue at the TCA press tour today to talk about it.
Per the official website, Terriers from Creator/Executive Producer Ted Griffin (Ocean’s Eleven, Matchstick Men) and Executive Producer Shawn Ryan (The Shield), is a comedic drama starring Donal Logue (The Tao of Steve) and Michael Raymond-James (True Blood). It centers on “Hank Dolworth” (Logue), an ex-cop, who partners with his best friend “Britt Pollack” (Raymond-James) in an unlicensed private investigation business. Comedic, edgy, original, a show about high stakes in the face of low expectations, Terriers explores what it’s like in today’s America to be “too small to fail.”
The pair worked together on Life a couple of years ago, when Mikey Ray guest starred, and really hit it off. So much so that they actually shared an apartment in San Diego while filming season 1 of Terriers. Early reviews are positive; tune in to FX at 10/9c on September 8 to check it out for yourself.
